I'm baaaack!

Postby Elizabeth » Wed Oct 06, 2010 5:26 pm

Hi everyone,
I was TheOtherElizabeth on the old shesintouch forum, now I am just Elizabeth. I've seen a few familiar names. I have a big enough house for the 3 of us with too much STUFF. After being grad students for a long while, DH and I got the mentality of 'keep everything and scrounge what you can'. DD8 is a collector with boxes of stuffed animals exploding all over the place. (She actually plays with all of them, so I do not get rid of them). I still have cats, 2 residents + 3 fosters, and am no longer dogless with one 2yo siberian husky. Cats are indoor only ranging from 2 to 17 yo and from tame to feral. My main hobbies are sewing and crochet, but I am thinking about getting back into belly dance because I need the exercise.

Okay, I totally remember theotherElizabeth, I think... ... Didn't you used to make your dresses/costumes, and maybe doll clothes, because I think you and I used to post together about sewing? Am I on target at all? :| (believe me, I have been WAY off before) My dd is 12 now - unbelievable. Several of us have dds just older than yours - helia, LisaB. I think Mystery Woman has a dd closer to 8. bittersweet is a constant foster-kitty person.

We have a Creative Home forum here - glance back through to see those. Welcome!

Yep! That's me. My current project is a southern belle dress for Halloween, inspired by DD's request for a Confederate captain's uniform. Guess who went to Stone Mountain GA (a Confederate memorial) last summer. I have a doll dress crocheted and ready to assemble and put snaps on. It is lower priority than Halloween. DD also wants a Viking costume, kind of like Astrid in How to Train Your Dragon movie.
See you around PWYC!
