I've enjoyed each of these books.

This month I've read: "Miss Julia to the Rescue" and "Paris in Love--a Memoir". Enjoyed both of these. I thought this was the best Miss Julia book so far. Have read all of them.

Presently am reading "Quiet:The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking". Am loving this one!

To be read: A Wish for Christmas (this is from the Cape Light Series) and 3 books from the Heavenly Daze Series--A Warmth in Winter, A Perfect Love, and Hearts at Home.

Aw, I'm missing my reading. I had to give that up for my sewing this year. Last year I always had a book going. I did however, read the short book, Animal Farm, just because we had it here.

When all this sewing is done I will go back to my reading, but I think I will limit my reading time. I got so that last year that's all I did. And that's a very introverted way to live.

I spent time on Amazon choosing some non-fiction yesterday and have one book in my cart and several on my mind. Will report later! I'm definitely a non-fiction reader.

At B and N, bought dd the third novel in the Gideon trilogy or Time Thief trilogy I've talked about here before. (different titles in England or US) She recently had me recommend here Around the World in 80 Days, which she thinks everyone should read if they missed it in school. Look out for political incorrectness  of that century, but she loved it, and says, "So romantic."

Hi there, ellephant! Hope you'll come by the PWYC Post When You Can thread and chat. I'm an introvert so the title you mentioned is interesting.

Have added "Around the World in 80 Days" to my long running list of books to read. So many books, so little time...

Harriet, I will try to join in soon at PWYC. Have been following all of the goings-on around here for several years. Enjoy coming here and my grown kids and husband have heard much about this nice group of ladies.

Presently reading "Restless Hearts" by Marta Perry. It is easy reading for summer. Contains Amish characters--since moving to Amish country have learned that these are called "bonnet books". Very enjoyable.

I am currently reading Some Assembly Required by Anne... Lamont (?) I think.
It is a diary of her grandson's first year.
Kinda scaring me right now, LOL!!!
Don't get me wrong -- it's a sweet, fun story... and her situation is MUCH different from mine! Her son was only 19 when his live-in girlfriend became pregnant. They (the son & the gf) had a very volatile relationship before the pregnancy, so I'm not sure where this is headed... but it's a sweet story, seeing how this first-time grandmother adjusts and falls so head-over-heels in love with her little grandson.

Y'all are making me want to read Around the World in 80 Days, also, and I've wanted to put the "bonnet books" on my list for a while. I have lots of students who read those.
Tomorrow is another day.

I just finished The Year at Thrush Green by Miss Read. I love the whole Thrush Green series.

I saw part of a mini-series on the SyFy channel based on Dreamcatcher by Stephen King, so I checked the book out from the library a couple of weeks ago. I keep picking it up and putting it back down. I'm about a third of the way through it, but it isn't really grabbing me. I don't know if I'll bother to finish it.
