DH is watching "The Hunger Games," on the Family Channel. (I believe reading the book would've been better! No TV ads!)
DH and I used to watch a soap opera, which I started watching in the 1970's. 1 of my pen pals, I used to have, was insanely in love with this soap opera. In fact, she had autographed memorabilia from the stars, posters, and various fan things. But her sister threw it all in the garbage, to her angst, which started a life-long feud. When I told her we'd stopped watching it, to watch the late morning news instead, she never wrote me ever again. I guess we didn't have much in common, after I dropped viewing this show, but DH and I don't miss it now. When we accidentally see part of it or an ad on TV for it, it's like we're watching total make-believe and we can't understand how we'd gotten so "INTO" it for such a long time. DH retired 15 - 16 years ago, so we started watching it together. We were addicted to it, too. I think it's great entertainment for people though. It's a stress-reliever and it relaxes a lot of people, to watch it.
"The Hunger Games," is on from 8 - 11 p.m. tonight.
We recently watched "Divergent," and it was good, too.
DH watched "Flying Alaska," tonight, a documentary about bush pilots in Alaska. It was cool.
