I'm watching college & Seahawks football with DH.

I'm also watching seasonal movies on the Hallmark Channel.

I'm reading non-fiction, on how crochet saves people's sanity and lives, while they deal with health and mental issues. I'm also reading a non-fiction book, which is Biblical-based, on how-to get friends and maintain friendships.

We love "The Big Bang Theory," many of the CSI shows, shows on Discovery and The History Channel, movies on cable and On Demand through Comcast.

We also love Jimmy Kimmel's show, when we're not too tired and Saturday Night Live, if we can stay up that late.

I'm starting to read short stories in "True Story" and "True Confessions" magazine, whom I get published in, so I know what the editors are buying and what my co-writers in my group are writing, too.

I am reading "On Writing Well" by William Zinsser from last mo.
Still reading "Improve Your Romance Writing Skills".
The Writers Guide To Everyday Life in the Wild West from 1840-1900 by Candy Moulton.
Who Knew 10,001 Easy Solutions to Problems.
T. D. Jakes workbook to his latest book "Your instinct in Action."

I have a devotional by Nancy Demoss this and the two following
ones I have stalled out on acouple romances one by Debbie Macomber "Rose Harbor In Bloom" going as well.

I have a shelf of others by J.A. Jance to delve into next yr also.

I have "On Writing Well," too. I have tons of books on writing. I love Natalie Goldberg's book, too.

We're watching boxing matches now, some college football, back and forth.

I got 2 paper backs used this weekend.
"The Known World" by Edward P Jones. A pulitzer prize winner.

"Lady Almina and the Real Downton Abbey", The Lost Legacy of Highclere castle. By The Countess of Carnarvan.

We watched the Hawks win over the Raiders. Then, we watched the news, then "Alaska, the Last Frontier," and now, DH has "America's Funniest Home Videos," on. We're uncertain what's on good to watch at 8 and 9 p.m., but at 10 p.m., we're going to watch "CSI," on CBS.

No time to read today. Concentrating on housework and afghan crochet for DGD's gift.

My off day no yarn work to rest my shoulder. Started reading a book I found tucked in the book shelf I had forgotten about. I am really enjoying this one. "Breaking Clean" by Judy Blunt a natl. best seller. A 3rd generation homesteader's story in Eastern Montana.

At Barnes 'n' Noble's Nook Book Blog today, their free e-book offer is "THE GATSBY GIRLS: 8 POST SHORT STORIES," by F. Scott Fitzgerald. He wrote these for his wife, Zelda. It sounds like a good collection of classic stories to read! YAY!

DD gave me a book, quite awhile ago. She said it's hilarious, truthful, blunt, and very honest. She said she's dealt with people, the author describes in the book, and it was a wonderful read, too. The title and author are:

"EMOTIONAL VAMPIRES - DEALING WITH PEOPLE WHO DRAIN YOU DRY," by Albert J. Bernstein, PH. D. I'm dealing with one such "vampire" in our Dfamily right now, so need to know skills on how to better deal with them.

I have a short stack of books, in my office, off to the right-side of my desk. They are close to my heart, are good re-reads:

7- "The Treasury of American Poetry", by Nancy Sullivan, Editor.

I adore poems, I'm crazy for poems, it's how I started writing, years and years ago, and my first published pieces were poems, then I moved onto little non-fiction stories and many years later, onto fiction stories. I used to have a hope chest full of 400 handwritten poems, too. I wrote for my own pleasure.
