It took me all day to finish the Sunday chores that I usually have done within an hour or so of returning from church.
And then I skipped out on a wedding shower I was invited to. I spoke to the bride & groom to be and the groom's parents this morning at church, told them I was planning on coming, but that I had left my gift at church already, so I wouldn't have to bring it in during the predicted stormy weather. Then when it was time to go... I was sound asleep. Took a nap of about 2 hours.
Talked to dmom for an hour. I honestly can't tell you much of what we talked about except that she still has a bad cough, is still on antibiotic, and wants family doctor to send her to lung specialist when antibiotic is finished. And she is more worried about dh than herself, so I am to call her if I need her.
We got back from Walmart about 7:00 pm and then I had to do lemon pepper chicken & corn on the cob...
I am so... tired... of... everything... we...eat.
It's time for my weekly date with Tom Selleck. (He waits in my DVR for me.)
Tomorrow morning, bright and early, we have appt at the heart rehab clinic. * sheesh * DH dreads this so much b/c they did nothing but hinder his progress with his last visit, by prescribing double dose of Coreg. * sheesh *
Week is filling up quickly...
Tuesday -- we plan to go with ds to a music thing he's doing, about an hour away.
Wednesday -- laundry laundry laundry -- and I suspect babysitting.
Thursday -- ironing... and hopefully we can go get dh's new glasses... and
Friday -- leave for weekend trip w/ds & family. PRAYING dh feels like going!
WTG,
Kathryn, with all you've accomplished with the filing. I know it is a daunting task, b/c of how dmom's got so behind when ddad was sick.
How does the hanging file work with the puzzle -- how do you keep the pieces from falling out?
I want to keep eating now. I bought a king size pack of Reese cups, and I was going to enjoy them with Tom
but I've eaten all 4 while sitting here.
Certainly hope
Nancy,
Lilac, and any others of you in the storm path get through the weekend with no damage or serious troubles! (((HUGS))) for Lilac's dgd "trapped" away from home with the elderly lady. (We never got anything more than rain, or at least, I slept soundly through it all if we did.)
(((HUGS))) and prayers for "lost relatives" as
Lynlee said, and the grandparents and parents who love them. So sad, so hard to practice the necessary tough love.
(((
Elizabeth)))
Hope WonderBoy is feeling fine now,
Harriet!
I cleaned dh's shower and my bathroom mirror last night while dgs played in the bathtub. He wanted to help me s/s the toilets, so I let him do a little bit before he got in the tub. I thought it was nice of him to ask to help -- hope he is offering his services to his parents!
Waving to
ALL!!!
