The business filing is mostly done (I think there are 10 more pieces of paper to do.)

All the papers for year-end are organized and in a hanging folders on my table. I have 4 of those desk-top frames the files hang from to keep things 'organized' although it is really more of 'out of sight, out of mind, since I was filing papers from 4 years ago.

There is an empty archive box, 2 empty hanging folder frames (one now being used to hold wooden puzzles neatly), and an empty metal file case from my Dad's (that had some of our business files in it for some reason.)

At this point things don't look much tidier but I've come across more projects to work on. Sigh...

I ate all day. Not sure why but I was snacking even as I was cooking dinner. Dinner tasted good (I was worried I wouldn't be hungry enough for it!)

After dinner dh suggested I walk at least part way to NFD's with him so I did and got a 3 mile walk done. So, although I ate a lot today, I'm not too badly over my calorie count if you count exercise calories.

I'm really tired, though, so think I might like to go to bed early tonight. I'm going to load up my mp3 with more things to listen to and then finish the dishes. The dishwasher is loaded but I still have the pots to wash up.

It took me all day to finish the Sunday chores that I usually have done within an hour or so of returning from church.
And then I skipped out on a wedding shower I was invited to. I spoke to the bride & groom to be and the groom's parents this morning at church, told them I was planning on coming, but that I had left my gift at church already, so I wouldn't have to bring it in during the predicted stormy weather. Then when it was time to go... I was sound asleep. Took a nap of about 2 hours.
Talked to dmom for an hour. I honestly can't tell you much of what we talked about except that she still has a bad cough, is still on antibiotic, and wants family doctor to send her to lung specialist when antibiotic is finished. And she is more worried about dh than herself, so I am to call her if I need her. :)
We got back from Walmart about 7:00 pm and then I had to do lemon pepper chicken & corn on the cob...
I am so... tired... of... everything... we...eat.
It's time for my weekly date with Tom Selleck. (He waits in my DVR for me.)

Tomorrow morning, bright and early, we have appt at the heart rehab clinic. * sheesh * DH dreads this so much b/c they did nothing but hinder his progress with his last visit, by prescribing double dose of Coreg. * sheesh *

Week is filling up quickly...
Tuesday -- we plan to go with ds to a music thing he's doing, about an hour away.
Wednesday -- laundry laundry laundry -- and I suspect babysitting.
Thursday -- ironing... and hopefully we can go get dh's new glasses... and
Friday -- leave for weekend trip w/ds & family. PRAYING dh feels like going!

WTG, Kathryn, with all you've accomplished with the filing. I know it is a daunting task, b/c of how dmom's got so behind when ddad was sick.
:?: How does the hanging file work with the puzzle -- how do you keep the pieces from falling out?

I want to keep eating now. I bought a king size pack of Reese cups, and I was going to enjoy them with Tom ;) but I've eaten all 4 while sitting here.

Certainly hope Nancy, Lilac, and any others of you in the storm path get through the weekend with no damage or serious troubles! (((HUGS))) for Lilac's dgd "trapped" away from home with the elderly lady. (We never got anything more than rain, or at least, I slept soundly through it all if we did.)

(((HUGS))) and prayers for "lost relatives" as Lynlee said, and the grandparents and parents who love them. So sad, so hard to practice the necessary tough love.

(((Elizabeth)))

Hope WonderBoy is feeling fine now, Harriet!

I cleaned dh's shower and my bathroom mirror last night while dgs played in the bathtub. He wanted to help me s/s the toilets, so I let him do a little bit before he got in the tub. I thought it was nice of him to ask to help -- hope he is offering his services to his parents!

Waving to ALL!!!
Tomorrow is another day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RAMBLINROSE!

We got power back by 3 and hasn't flickered since then. Was still snowing after 7. Today most churches were closed, WM, Target, Sam's, lots of restaurants according to FB. Tomorrow the college, school district, Catholic schools, all medical facilities except the hospital. All elective surgeries canceled plus any kind of scan.

Our weather is just an inconvenience. The areas hit by tornadoes this weekend had life changing results. I feel so sorry for all those people wondering where home is now, plus all the injuries and deaths. Tornadoes are so scary.

The main problem here will be the trees. I seen pictures on FB of trees uprooted and massive damaged trees all over town. The trees at our zoo are so tall and old, I haven't heard how they fared.

Dm had rsvp'd dd1 that she is coming to dgs23 and dgd20s graduation party on May 13. She hadn't indicated to me that she was. When I asked her about it, she said oh yes and db1 and dsisil are coming too. Yikes, I need to get busy around here then. Next weekend is dm's church mother daughter banquet. A year ago she told me I had a year to make it happen that both dds and the 4 dgds plus myself attend. Dgd20s graduation is May 5 and her boyfriends parents are having a party for her. Her parents are having a combined party for her and her db the next weekend. So that leaves dd1 and her dd unable to go. May 6 is dgs13s last track meet of the year and dd2 will want to go to that. We are seriously thinking of going Saturday morning and I can go to the banquet that evening. But with all this tree mess dh is kind of back pedaling on that. Luckily I haven't told dm that I might come because if I then don't she will be upset. I do not order my dds to do anything. I throw it out there and they make their own decisions.
