Good news Dil is going back to work tomorrow. The knitting meeting was plesant went better than I feared it would be. Took my sketch book and showed it to them, only three of us there, they changed the day I think this day will work out . It is natl. Turtle day. We had t storms this afternoon with just thunder no rain. I think grass would do better if the one hen would stay out of it and quit eating it lol! H is off later today. I have taken a free day today.

The residents event tonight (presentation on bus tours) was interesting.

They are pricey (day tours are $135+) but for someone without a car or driving license that's not too bad. I have a hybrid and gas alone for some of the tours would be $35 right now. They include a meal and tickets to an event (play, boat tour or show at the casino) so they are reasonably priced. I thought of doing a tour on my own while dh is away but for the dates I'm available there aren't any good tours.

Today I asked dd if she'd like to vacation for a few days where they normally rent a cabin and I'd rent a room and be available to babysit but she can't think of leaving home at this time. She is really stressed out about the trip next week to the wedding which is natural given we'll be juggling dgs since children aren't allowed at the wedding.

Dh's nephew is getting married in September. They are semi-eloping with a destination wedding (just immediate family and a close friend each, even her grandmother isn't coming.) So no-one is invited. I'll miss getting together with people but I won't miss the cost. Each of these other three weddings has been a 'destination wedding' for us since we are coming from out of town. The kids can't afford the hotels so I'm out the money. I don't mind and we have a great time together as a family but we'd rather rent something closer to here and enjoy some hiking and paddling than sitting in a concrete jungle.
