Crazy day here for sure. I had a bunch of desk chores to do from all those papers I gave DH. Attempted to get caught up, but DH came in with 2 more packets from county office for me to sort out and organize.

One packet must have been put together by the devil himself. I can just about deal with anything on a paper, but this stuff had me so confused. Piles everywhere, copies, staples, clips, folders. I got it organized as best I could but it all took me over 2 hours. When DH came home I wanted to tell him which ones I didn't have any copies (one batch was 84 pages long!) and they were spread out on the kitchen counter...and a couple got into some water.... so out came the hair dryer drying them off. Phew. Exhausting work.

Then of course the questions and phone calls, etc. etc. and I'd done all I could and I was stressed out something fierce so I made a note on a legal pad: "it's crazy here. I'm gone" and DH must have panicked and stopped his phone conversation and asked me if I was coming back. I wanted to say NO but I didn't, I said "eventually".

I had to finish the shopping I didn't get finished from yesterday. 2 stores and something for lunch.

Shortly after I got back a huge storm hit right over us. Lightning and thunder crack boom close and lights went out in the house in a few rooms. I had to reset the circuit breakers, then brought in a ladder and a broom for the handle to reach up and push the reset button on the screaming fire alarm. I'm glad nothing got damaged inside. I had run back here and turned off the computer. We're supposed to have surge suppressor on the main supply for the whole house...so far nothing's been fried.

Cleaned up kitchen, running DW now. I didn't get a whole lot of other stuff done, but one step forward is still forward, right?

Dee, I don't know why they didn't do the shot instead of the treadmill. Maybe they thought it wasn't safe for you? I'm glad you didn't fall off.

Dh came through earlier before he headed to bowling and was incensed at his dr's visit. His appt was at 1 or 1:30ish, but his scan, whatever it was, wasn't scheduled until 2:45 (and it would take an hour) so he was needing to cool his heels there all afternoon when he had appointments back at the office. Plus, their scale weighted him 3 lbs heavier! I had to lol at the scale, but the real issue is that the specialist didn't communicate re the appointment and expectations.
