I finally finished that round and took care of several issues from the meeting on Sunday - stuff I was supposed to do follow up for. I also installed a new printer - our old printer finally gave up. Inquiring minds may recall the wireless printer which I was never able to get working, and which still resides in the floor of dh's "office" cr*p room.

Also phoned prez of other congregation re awkward Facebook posting by her rabbi.

Very early this morning I heard dh getting up and saying his alarm hadn't gone off. It's now going off upstairs, so he set it p.m. instead of a.m.

I am going to sign onto temple computer and print a report to email to myself.

-put away a large basket of laundry
-reboot laundry one last time for the day
-do the temple report and email to myself
-reconcile the number of members as a specified date
-measure front windows for curtain hardware

Somewhere in cyber space there is a post going into the cosmos. It wasn't very good anyway. I think I closed the browser when the post was waiting for a previous poster. Shoulda looked.

I just said I was in house buying mode vs truck selling mode and sending forms back and forth with financial adviser to transfer $$.

House inspection went well. We have to go sign some more papers in about 30 minutes to acknowledge that we are accepting it "as is".

I have "liked" Pixils of Ink on FB and now get lists of free books. I have downloaded about 7 in the last two days. Very eclectic mix of romance, religious, youth and almost naughty. All for free. They list for both the kindle and the nook.

Made myself cereal for lunch. I've used that as a weight loss program before with success. I love my morning breakfast, it is healthy and low in calories so it makes sense to repeat it.

I managed to avoid eating anything but grapes at choir and then had a muffin when I got home. We walked and picked up the mail so that's more exercise.

Then I kind-of lost momentum. Oh well, it was a good start to my overwhelming schedule. I mostly stayed on program today.

Watching to see what Bsweet has to say!

I've finished up the two jobs related to temple biz and measured for hardware.

Next the laundry jobs.

Lots of us have had busy weeks {month} what can we do to de-stress? Wondering what effect that has on our wt. loss programs?

This holiday has been anything but relaxing for me!! I was hoping to be able to spend some of it with DD after she had the baby....but it seems that DGD is every bit as much of a diva as her mommy was, and she's still not here! Of course, today was putzing along reasonable alright until DD started texting me this afternoon. She was saying that she was fighting with her bf, and everything is getting to her really badly. Then it came out that she's out of her antidepressant meds, and has been since Sunday!!!! She takes Celexa, which is an SSRI drug (like Paxil and Paxil CR), and it has a very short half life in your body. Within 8 hours of missing a dose, some people can begin to experience withdrawal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, anxiety, general malaise, headaches, crying spells ....all things she's expereinced in the past few days. So....after several phone calls back and forth between me, her, and the doctor's office, it's come down to this - she MUST either go to their evening clinic tonight, or go to her old medi-centre where they should be able to give her an interim prescription, since her doctor won't be back before Friday, and we can't wait that long! They were on their way out to a 'student-led conference' at DGS's school, so I told her she has until 5pm to call me and let me know which one she'll be going to....or I call her bf and drag him into the middle of all this. Not going to either is NOT an option...this MUST and WILL be dealt with today!

In other health issues, I'm also due for a mammogram this month, and I need to get in to have some lower back x-rays done, too. The doctor suspects that my lower back/hip/leg pain is related to something in my lower back, but can't tell much else without some tests. DH has his quarterly appointment with his specialist tomorrow, foster furbaby Jiggs has an appointment for her last booster shots and checkup next Thursday, and I just finally got a call about an appointment to see a shrink in late November (the original referral was back in May or June! )

I really need to get SOMEthing done around here...the lack of completed housework and/or projects is also starting to increase my stress levels. Right now, I think I'll go get myself dressed (yes, it's 5pm and I'm still not dressed  ), get some supper for me and DH (leftover sloppy joes), and then see what I can get completed today.

Just folded three loads of laundry. Another two in washer and dryer, and just put away a very large basket. Beginning to feel caught up.

OTOH, still haven't written temple notes, and need to do about three dozen!

I'm watching a fascinating display of social media.

One last round - a little p.m. routine, a little clean up from the day.
-start coffee for the a.m.
-empty dishwasher
-clear kitchen counters (last time)
-refill meds containers for the week
-work on a li&t for tomorrow

((Bsweet)) Hasn't been the vacation you hoped for, has it? Yes, things have been backing up here on me and I've been eating out of control too. I'm glad you're getting dd squared away with the meds. DD has stopped taking Prozac, I think, and was pitching a hissy fit on Sat because nothing fits her anymore. I'm glad you're getting your health concerns taken care of, also.

lucylee -- reporting for duty

Wow... this has certainly been a busy month/season for me, too... mostly b/c of the extra running around re: dmom. She didn't need anything done or delivered today, though, so I came home from school, and now I'm waiting on dh to return from his parents so we can eat.
And I can tell you one thing, all this busy-ness has certainly wreaked havoc on any plans for exercise I had for October.
 Good gracious when will things be "normal" again???

Had to call dmom & tell her one of her oldest friends had passed away @ the nursing home this afternoon. Dmom took it really well, surprising me, but she said, " _____ has known absolutely no peace and no happiness in this life for many, many years... and now I can think that she truly is better off." This lady was the same age as dmom, (66) but had a heart condition and had had a defibrillator for a long time. Plus, she had some serious issues w/pain (and probably other) medication. She was twice divorced, no children, both parents had passed away, and her life had really been miserable for quite some time.
Dmom said she would probably try to go to the service or visitation, at least. There are aunts/uncles/cousins that dmom is close to.

I have read the paper, put away clothes that were hanging (to dry) on ironing board, got clothes ready for our weekend trip, and "all" I need to do tonight is grade a set of journals. I've done two classes; have three to go.
Tomorrow is another day.

Echoing Lucylee. I'm resigned to working tomorrow, Friday, and all next week. I realized a minute ago that I still need to finish our tax return for last year and file it on Monday. That will be the weekend's activity.

Have a li&t going for tomorrow.
