Merry Christmas to our lovely village!!

Looking back at last Christmas's thread, this morning isn't much different - DH has gone to bed after working all night, DS is sleeping, and I still have presents to wrap. There's critters to care for, a whole list of things to be loaded into the car, and as usual I'm feeling ridiculously overwhelmed and disorganized :?

Alright...no whining - it's Christmas!! One way or another, it's here, so I might as well be happy and enjoy it. Life can be put on hold for one day.

Shoveling down a quick breakfast before heading off to church.

Got 7 hours of sleep.

The bigger turkey is in the oven, we'll take dinner to the ER admin staff at the hospital after dd, dh and I eat our dinner.

We've opened our gifts. It was a lovely family time.

The kids are staying here while we are at church and then we'll all go down to the diner for our singing gig. My Bosom buddy should be dropping by the diner to see the kids.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NORMA

Greetings to everyone! Such a lovely opening today. I love all the fancy graphics!

We've had a very quiet morning here at home. Dh and I are used to having at least two families here at a time. For many years dfam#3 visited and stayed with us for almost two weeks and so dgkids were always up early. Then dfam#1 came right after and stayed for lunch. Dfam#2 would come in the afternoon while the other two families visited with the other side of their families. But, eventually, all things change.....two of our sons and their families are out of town this time. We will be leaving after a quick lunch to spend the afternoon/evening with ds#1 and his family. We're taking a tray of cookies and some ice cream for dessert. Everything is all cleaned up so we'll relax until it's time to leave.
Start by doing what's necessary, then what's possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible. --- Francis of Assisi

Happy Birthday Twins Mom, Norma. Holiday greetings to all! The village is lit up and festive today so awesome.

I just put the finishing touches on the Jello salad, added the fruit. I tweaked it a bit this year
it was not set up when I went to bed because I started it so late it was a relief when I saw that it had set up this morning.

Went the the candle lite service for Christmas eve service after going to dd's for a small gift exchange there and snacks. Got a nice e-mail from dgd with Christmas wishes on it. Decided to save our seats at church for the visitors because there is only one service this morning and we just went last night. H. is watching fishing on TV today.

We will be on the look out for a new to us replacement TV for down stairs I"m excited to not have to watch fav. shows through snow and hearing 'em with out static!
