MARVELOUS MONDAY

Postby DeeClutter » Mon Sep 08, 2014 7:05 am

It's a marvelous day (at least it looks that way starting out) and hope it is in your neck of the woods as well.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Sunny!!
Happy Birthday, Mystery!! Hope you pop in today.

I've been awake since 4:40. Got up and turned on the furnace -was 58 in here. Then when dh got up he turned the furnace up even more, BUT at the same time he turned the AC (mistakenly) on in the bedroom. I hopped out of bed quickly to correct that. Knew he wouldn't realize he'd done that. AC we don't need today -especially with the furnace running as well.

I decided to stay up and get started with my church council minutes. Nothing like 'the last minute'. Seems like this month has flown! And I'm sure this next month will more than fly. I plan to leave here 5 weeks from Thursday.

Dh has an appointment with the orthopedist this morning -for his knee. I'll be going with him so that will encompass most of the morning. We'll have to leave by 8:45 and sure we won't be home till toward noon.

I'm sad (not really). My one kind of sweatshirt material nightgown that I have worn for years and keeps me very warm -actually DS and his Ex gave it to me one Christmas probably around '95. So I guess it owes me nothing -but noticed this morning that the back has worn thin enough that it tore. Now to see if I can find a good replacement -quickly. I definitely need 'warm' now. It's kind of a 'goofy' looking gown so I'm sure I won't be sad to see that go. Doubt DS-R even knows I still have it -far from his memory. I have another fleece one but it's short. This will be an easy out once I find one to replace it.

Have a good morning -wishing for everyone to feel GOOD!

There, I mastered the minutes for tonight's Council meeting. Took me about 50 minutes, but it's DONE. Just need to proofread when we come back from the Dr. and print and it's done!

Sun is shining brightly today. Nice.

Watching for humming birds, but am pretty sure they've (smart guys) headed south. Don't think we've had any since Saturday. I always say, come Labor Day -they're gone! Or pretty close, as the case may be.

Guess I'd better get out clothes for dh and make sure I've got everything we need. Ta-ta for now.

Dee, we don't have feeders for hummers but several of our neighbors do and they've been seeing a lot of feeding and activity. Must be topping off the tank for their trip south here.

I'm all ready with a li&t but as usual on Monday can't seem to get moving. So (unstick tuchas from the seat) and.....
-walk ddogs
-breakfast and meds
-clear kitchen counters and wipe
-online request appt for dmom for arthritis specialist
-call re: ds' glasses

:D HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MR. SUNNY! :D

:D HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MYSTERY! :D

Not feeling up to par this morning. But I wanted to pop in to do birthday well-wishing.

It's gloomy, cloudy here, with showers coming this evening. DH is waiting for his drug study nurse to call, to "check in". Then, it'll be coffee and he'll go to Costco.

Have a Marvelous Monday, today, Everyone! :D

Happy Birthday Mr Sunny!

Happy Birthday to Mystery!

That round was successful but I obviously was lollygagging along.

This time around:
-reboot laundry
-s2s
-make the bed and straighten MBR and bath
-call back Probate court person re: sale of dsis' house
-send Facebook message to friend re: declining her invitation to go to a Nashville fundraiser

Happy Birthday to Sunny DH and Mystery!

DH was running late this morning so I made the decision to stay here and cover the MPB. I didn't realize it at the time the decision was made, but it has been a welcomed break from the constant "ON" of social interaction. I've stayed busy doing things and feel a sense of relief in not being so far behind.

Done with that round, also talked to a dfriend whose father is in hospital - they are looking at his needs long term, similar to my dmom and dsis. Call back from probate court while I was talking to dfriend. Now I need to add a trip to bank and to PO (additional fees for court filing) to my day.

-lunch
-trip out to bank and post office
-write a thank you note
-take care of 10 pieces of paper
-call about a body work appointment

I am ticking things off my list, but it is also growing.

I just found an explosion of flies on the windowsill next to my desk. Yuck! :o May stop for flypaper or something to trap them while I'm out - I hate to spray and have to smell the stuff.

Hello Dear Ladies,

Slightly cooler day here, feels wonderful.

Sorry about being MIA for a while. Life just happening in real life kept me busy.

Dson-18 is doing wonderful, is now over his recovery period had no problems other than a lot of boredom so tried to spend time with him talking or watching movies with him to make the time go faster. Saw Adam Sandler's "Blended " with him, and was quite enjoyable.

Dson-23 got a promotion at WM. He is now Dept Manager over Lawn and Garden. Was so very proud of him. I find happiness is watching your children achieve their goals. I truly felt happy this weekend and it was a feeling I hadn't had in a very long time.

Dson-27 is counting the days until he leaves for North Carolina. Will miss him terribly but we both have face time on our phones and he promises to call me often with updates on his adventure of moving there.

DH on the other hand is going through anxiety problems again. He is upset about the one son moving away and upset because the other son got a promotion. That son helps him and the other two sons with their business in a very minor way. I told him people have to move on in their lives, they can't keep put dreams on hold waiting for his business to be booming.

Dson-23 was so happy to get the promotion. He was such a shy person for so many years and to see him grow and be able to step up to be a manager is such a big accomplishment for him. So many fellow workers came up to congratulate him and were happy for him to.. It made this mom very proud of him.

Today I'm working on laundry and dishes. Put some more music on my Iphone to listen to. Found this funny at WM, I was searching through the 5 dollar bin of music CDs which I find to be like a treasure chest. One of my fellow workers came up to talk to me, he is about 20 years old and said all the music in there was so old, there was nothing good in it. I remarked that I was young when some of this music was new so I like a lot of the music. :D

One of other workers at work is the same age as me and we often talk about music we listened to when we were young. I said I listen to a lot of dead people lately.

Well the dryer calls me so going to work on the laundry some more.

Great day to all!

Hello everybody.

Lucylee, we had a program like yours at our church. We try to keep in touch with Kids who go away to the college or go into the military. We never sent gifts, just cards and notes.

It is rumbling overhead. I guess we'll get some rain. I was glad to see LadyM got some rain finally.

Sat. I had plans, but sorta felt bad and never got anything done. Sunday I didn't feel much better and today I went to the walk in clinic again. DH has gone out to run errands and he is stopping at pharmacy to pick up medicine for me. I had a little bit (1 day) of something left from last time and goofed and took 2 pills instead of 1. I don't think it'll hurt me much, but I sure am sleepy!

We did get some paperwork done, worked on several statements and a packet of stuff for county office. We are agreed that we look very professional, being able to email a scanned statement along with 9 pictures of fixed jobsite. How much harder this all used to be for us. We've come a long way with all the electronics.

I think I'll pop the chicken in the oven to bake, then I'll go take a nap.
