Not only did I sleep in today, I also had an afternoon nap! I woke up just after 5.

Dh made supper. ribs and fettucine alfredo and a Caesar salad. He also made an egg salad with a lot of onions for sometime tomorrow. We are planning on going to downtown Toronto to either the museum or the aquarium and most likely eating downtown.
Dishes never stop.

I totally understand the challenges of living with a stubborn man. :)

Our friend came through his heart attack with minimum damage. He had 2 complete blockages that were opened up with stints. It was a bit eerie to hear about events leading DFriend to go to ER. DFriend matched almost exactly to DH cousin that died last month. Both of these men were in pain for hours all through the night. So much pain they couldn't sleep. Both of them thought the pain was from something they ate causing indigestion. Both of them tried OTC heartburn meds (Tums) in an effort to ease the pain. The difference was that DFriend gave up fighting the pain and went to the ER. He was in surgery within an hour of arriving at the hospital and he is going to be okay. DH Cousin decided to take a bath and get cleaned up before going to ER. He died from the heart attack while at home.

The counselor is greatly concerned about the level of DS8 anxiety. We discussed several treatment options today. All of the medications available were discussed and she was reluctant to recommend any of them for him. After DH surgery (Jan 2nd) I will be making appts to get DS8 evaluated by other specialists.

I have a headache and my energy level is hovering at zero. DH and DS8 are at church. I'm going to put my pj's on and go to bed early.

**Phew** close call. At least I didn't get caught TWO times today.

After posting I was going to put PJ's on when I was stopped by the door bell ringing. It was a DFriend dropping off their church offerings (so DH could get it to CPA before the end of the year). She came in and visited for 15 minutes or so. I thankful that I was still wearing street clothes!

This morning the doorbell rang while I was still wearing PJ's. When I answered the door it was 30'ish yr old son of DFriend. He stopped by our house to make sure we knew about his dad. I will never forget the look on his face when he saw me in my weird PJ's.

During the winter I sleep in one-pieced flannel footed PJ's. Just like you see babies wearing. I know I look ridiculous in them but I still wear them because it is the only PJ's that keep me toasty warm. However, I really shouldn't open the door while wearing them!

My dm brought db2 from OK on Christmas Eve. She had to put him in a motel because of her house. On top of the mess, she has no heating or air for at least 12 years. I am not even kidding. I so............ wish I were. Anyway they had Christmas at db1 on Christmas Day. Db2 had his ex wife pick him up there. She lives between there and me. They love each other but have never been able to make a go of it. I just found out that although she has a new car, she had to borrow money for gas. Db2 only had $30. If she had to borrow money to pick him up, how can she feed him. Supposedly she is suppose to take him back to OK. I am afraid of the handwriting I see on the wall. I called dm today to see where he is at. She didn't have time to talk. I am afraid that she is planning to show up with him tomorrow. If that happens, I will probably orbit this earth. I love him but all of his poor decisions have landed him in this mess that is his life. He is disabled and receives a little over $500 month. Considering he hasn't paid taxes in years, he is lucky to get that. He drinks and smokes plus he has a drug history. Of course, dm is sure that is over. It is hard for me to be around him for any length of time and if she shows up with him, she will have a shortened visit. When he was healthy, he never had time for dm and now that he is disabled, he is bleeding her dry. She is about out of the money she had planned to spend on updating her house. Which is a joke because it needs emptied before anything can be done, but that's beside the point. I am so frustrated.

Well db1 just called. He talked to db2 today and he is still at the ex wifes house. He doesn't think dm will bring him out here, but I just don't trust her not to after the way she acted today. I told db1 that I am going to the bank tomorrow, so I will have plenty of cash to send the 2 of them on their way, if it comes to that. I can not handle both of them, no way, no how. Dm just acts like he is an angel and has never done a thing wrong in his life. She is in such denial about her house and db2.

Vent over. I am so sorry that I keep harping on this but it is driving me crazy, because none of this ever changes.

Ok, I am going to shut up!!!!! I just saw where Debbie Reynolds died today, one day after losing her daughter Carrie Fisher. That is so heart breaking and really puts things in perspective for me.

I had the same reaction, Lilac. It is as if she decided she couldn't live with the loss of her daughter.

Had a productive day. Got the bills paid and the cheque into the bank. Dd texted at 4:30 that she was heading to the rental place but I missed the text so had dh text her back while I raced out the door.

We went on to ToysRUs and she fed a desperate dgs, who had been sleeping for hours and awoke to find Nana holding his car seat and his mother missing. She was moving stuff from the rental to my car. We learned for next time that the rental company will drive her back home. It isn't Enterprise so we didn't know other companies did that too.

I had a great play with him after his feed and then we drove home. Picked up a baby gate on sale for half price but that's all. The baby carriers weren't suitable so that leaves the one that costs $185. I'll pick it up and take it to her later this week.

We are still planning meals for Friday and Saturday. We had the leftover turkey tonight and tomorrow will be leftover pizza from the freezer. Friday is roast beef and Saturday her Godfather wants to take us all out and dsil is OK with that so we'll probably just go to Swiss Chalet. I need to check their hours.
