That sounds great -- the history curriculum -- LadyM! Glad y'all had such a great day (in spite of the rain!)

I am s2s... shaved legs, washed hair, put a coat of polish on toenails, and I'm using a facial mask now.

I also did that "inventory" of the closet.
Yeah... I need everything.
I didn't do a good job. I should have ONLY counted clothes I would wear to church or other social type outings. Counting t-shirts and other really casual daily wear kinda skewed my results.
OTOH -- it is pretty obvious I do NOT need beige tank tops, dark blue short-sleeves, dark green or brown long-sleeves, or light blue/real sweaters!
I did not try on any clothes, so I'm also giving myself credit for some stuff I know does NOT fit, and that is no help either. Sigh.
I should do this in a year and only count clothing I have actually worn.
Tomorrow is another day.

The wind is blowing and they are calling for gusts up to 50 mph and it is snowing again. I am praying we don't lose power. I have supper almost ready and want to eat and clean up the mess just in case that happens.

We have gotten calls from family in eastern KS. asking if it is really snowing.

Back from dinner. What a hockey game!

Walked over while the team was down 4-3. When we arrived, the score was 5 - 3 with 6 minutes left. There was only a table with a poor angle view of the big screen (and I was watching in a mirror.) Our team scored with 4 minutes left. I moved over to the seat next to dh so I could see the game the right way around. They tied the score with 1 minute left. Then a 20 minute break and then into overtime. No score. We paid and headed home during the next 20 minute break. Got in the door 1.3 minutes into the second overtime. I just had time to go to the bathroom and then settle on the couch when our team scored, winning the game!

It was fun to be at the pub to watch the game but it was also stressful. I ate less than usual! (A good thing.)

I'll make my 10K steps today, just, but I'll make it. Tomorrow I plan to walk to church unless the weather is really awful. In that case, I'll get on the treadmill at 8 and walk for an hour on it. Then drive to church. We'll visit dgs in the early afternoon and then dh is to go walking with NFD nearer to dinner time.

Hi again everyone! Not going out today or tomorrow either. I will miss Sunday school, but no one will be surprised. I've gotten both jackets' pockets done. This means I now have two more travel jackets. The requirement for a travel jacket is two pockets that fit a paperback book! Got a call from my traveling companions and set them up with more shore excursions. I did eat bacon and fried rice for lunch. I hope it was not too much verticality. Blanket square is in progress. B&B still pending. A productive day, all things considering.

Dh and I just came inside after having a massive bonfire in the burn barrel. We also unloaded a heaping pile of branches from our trailer thanks to our neighbour. As soon as I went to grab the first branch, dh told me to go get heavy gloves. There were some hawthorn branches in with the willow branches.

We had a lovely supper of BBQed pork chops and sweet Thai chili noodles and corn. According to dh... "and no dessert!" I rarely make dessert, even though he mentions it frequently.

I also did 3 loads of laundry today and most of it is already away. I told dh I will do a load tomorrow as we usually get more things dirty on Sunday.

We are supposed to be getting a load of dirt for the garden boxes either tonight or tomorrow.

And... I am mere stitches away from finishing the daisy chain project that I am finishing for a friend. My goal is to have it to her for her to give to her mom for Mother's Day.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Paper never stops.

Speaking of stitches - I realized today that I'll need to make dgs a Christmas stocking to match his mom and dad's (just as his great-grandmother made one for his grandfather, grandmother - when we were married and uncle and mother - when they were born; I made the one for dsil.)

The sewing part is stressful but doable. The hard part will be relearning how to stitch so I can put his name on it. And he has a long name! (I had to learn for his father's.)

Good Morning from Sunday (just still morning by a bit)
tmeds
back to bed. my clock stopped, so when I looked at my watch it was time to hurry with dressing and otd to church.
afterwards. talked to a few people. bought raffle tickets in Mother's Day raffle. talked at length to seller - who I've known for 2 decades plus.
home
started making flat bread. Mixture is sitting. I took it for a walk on a possibly misguided notion.
Going to cook those now. Brunch I suppose, though I may fit in a catch up meal later.

Sleep well to the Saturday evening people.
hugs and prayers.
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.
