finally home! d mom's appointment went well. We dropped off dd younger so she could go to her dr. appointment. Went for lunch at a vegetarian french bistro - lol that's a new one for d mom but it was very good. Office max for her and post office for her. Had a nice time.

Glad to see Sunny is feeling better and some work is getting done in your house. Ah, about birthing day, in honor of his birth, I sent a birthday card to my DGSon of the same name and his birthday in July - I looked at calendar wrong. DD said she will hold his card and gift for a month.

Hello to everybody else, too many to mention.

Well, besides all the medical stuff going on with me, it's just been the same old thing around here. Today when we finally had the computer going again, all the statements were printed off, and I sat at my desk for hours catching everything up.

Spent some time catching up all the laundry, changing sheets; I deep cleaned 1 bedroom; nothing much new around here.

We had almost a whole week of rain. If we were 25 miles further south we'd have been in a lot of flooding. Here we have really good drainage for which I am very grateful. Old house had crappy drainage in that area, it was always twice as wet over there. Grass is green and was long till DH cut it yesterday.

We're doing fine. DH wanted to buy me a smart phone (ah, no, don't want it) - his answer to getting me my own gps since he took ours away when I really needed it.

Blessed - this didn't make me jealous but it did make me smile. As I look over DS8 English curriculum for next year, I see that he will be starting by memorizing 28 propositions. Then memorizing 23 helping verbs. I guess memorizing is part of every language.

Seems like I posted earlier but maybe not. Dozed some this afternoon. Think the last few weeks and the trip up here have caught up with me. Put on compression stockings this morning and my legs/ankles actually feel pretty good. I'm having my 2nd cup of java for the day -usually only ever have one. But thinking perhaps my body could use a little more caffeine for diuretic effect. When I get to the Dr. in a week I'm sure we'll discuss all the med changes and what needs to change. Monday dh has his bi-annual endoscopy for Barrett's Esophagus. Then Tuesday he has an appointment with "our" cardiologist at 8:30 and I have one in completely the opposite direction with my retina specialist. Next week see my Primary and July 7th see "our" cardiologist. Have to ask my primary about that as I see the info on their site shows a completely different cardiologist as mine. But I know this guy and I actually went to this same office 23 years ago when I had the quintuple bypass. There is a new Dr. in there though but he's been there probably 12 years or so. Our old cardiologist was actually hit by a bus at the airport when he was leaving with his family for a vacation to Mexico. He forgot his computer and ran back to his car for it. He died about a week later -fairly young too.

Going to try going back up to the store to try to catch camp manager to give her the replacement check for one dh wrote a couple of weeks ago. She hadn't cashed that batch yesterday & ours is written on a check with the wrong account #. Don't want to chance it bouncing at this point as we've started using the new ones the bank sent us.

Oops! I've been gone a while & just realized my post didn't go. Hi, Harmony. Yes,asfar as I know mail is still out there somewhere. Got a notice on phone that my things from A river were delivered. Only trouble is the office is now closed till Monday or Tuesday. Drat1 Wanted that order today too.

I rested for an hour this afternoon and listened to another preaching podcast. Made a few notes.

We had fish and chips for dinner. My tummy is bothering me, not sure if is too many fries (honestly, it was under 3 oz, probably closer to 2) or if my coughing is upsetting my tummy. I'm at the everything aches stage so am moving over to my recliner and a heating pad to work. I'd take another ibuprofen but dh wants to go to bed in 2 hours so I'll have to wait until then.

I watered the plants on the balcony and also did a little bit of tidying in the kitchen. Will make some tea for myself soon too.

Remembered to do a financial thing for dh. He has to buy some bitcoin and then he's using that to buy stock in an Australian company. I'm not totally pleased with this since I worry the bitcoin purchase will set off flags with the US government and/or the Canadian one. You only hear about bitcoin being used for illegal activities but this company is trying to prove that computers can remove the need for a state-run currency. I've given dh the OK for this since it will be him that is most adversely affected if it brings the wrath of the US down upon us. I can live without going to the US ever again. Sorry folks, but you are looking like a lost cause.

howdy howdy (my sweet d fil always said that) and my just as sweet nephew when he was young would call my d fil "doda doda" until realized it was his little way of saying howdy howdy. I know I have told story before but it's especially sweet to me today. D mil's house is being sold Monday and it is a hard chapter in the end of their special story for all of us. Dh said it finally hit him.

I finally planted the geraniums (had in a hot car for three days - ) and they are soaking up the water.

I put it off and put it off and it took less than a half hour. I refused to buy lots of plants this year as I want to use money on activities rather than the flowers. I will walk at the botanic gardens instead.

I rested a bit (shouldn't have - but I needed to regroup) and feel a bit more focused.

dh has the dw on and dd younger has been resting (I don't want to ask her if she has another headache)

hi d dee - its good you rested! your body needed it. Are you on Eloquist (spelling?) my d mom's ankles swell from time to time from those meds I think. I am so so sorry to her about the cardiologist - how sad for his family.

I found focusing difficult here as well - too hard for the kids (and myself as well) when things that are so noisy and interesting are going on around you! Yay on finishing 3rd grade!!! yes no lessons the last day of school! our school does year book signing and get out at ten.

There's something about a setting sun that brings on a cough. Happened last night as well. I felt quite well through the day and even managed to get 12K steps in total but then the sun set and the cough started.

I'm sitting here with mint tea but it isn't helping any. Sigh.... I dislike being sick and am annoyed I got a summer cold. After going all winter with only 1 cold (I think) this seems like a slap in the face.

I'm not making progress on the service. I'm surrounded by books but I guess this is the point I should be dusting or something to think while I do housework. Except I'm not strong enough for that.



Grrrrrr: How Great Thou Art isn't in the hymn book the old folks have. Seriously. There's all kinds of stuff written by an obscure person that has never been published anywhere else than this book and for which we don't have the music so can't sing it. But we are missing many useful hymns, such as How Great Thou Art.

Now, from that pathetic selection I have to choose from, I have to choose 2, not one. At least it has Holy Holy Holy. So I only have to pick 2 not 3.

Oh, and I have to pick hymns dh knows since he has no time to learn any more music due to the set-list for Tuesday requiring him to learn several new songs.

Well so much for the shorter hrs. The mom flaked out but at least I knew when they were dropped off. Dinner is over. We had a walk befkre diner.6 pm & they have both fell asleep.
