((lucylee))

I meant to get here early and say best wishes to LadyM and dh as they navigated the procedure stuff and recuperation stuff! Oh well. Not much on time around here. sounds like LadyM has it under control.

Got started on general all-year filing and re-do for church papers and was surprised it took so long. Also payroll and reimbursements, and organizing them in my bag for Sun.

Had an "argument" with script-reading A-river lady, who wanted to hear me say (wanted the recording to hear it) that the refund of the One-Day Shipping charge was a "courtesy" to me. I absolutely would not let it go. I told her I was looking at the shipping label that showed it was impossible that I got what I paid for. I asked her if A-river would want me to take a photo of it and send, to prove that I deserved the refund. Finally, that got through to her and she let it go. Refund forthcoming.

Weeding/digging out of edges of garden bed today. Glad I found my serious gloves. Gonna need a new handle for my favorite little two-headed hoe.

Delivery of book by gardening author I admire. Devouring it.

I did re-order the used, signed one that had been cancelled, from another small bookstore, and am on the lookout for it - hope it will be as nice.

And then somehow it's the end of the day. Not sure how that happens sometimes.

I like that d rose :D "my children" 8-) Hello!

Hello d lucy Hope it all works out easier.

hi d lady.
I just realized that Friday happened.
8-) exactly how I feel. but be kinder to yourself - you have been caring for your dh and have been out of the house. it's okay - that's what so nice about the program - you can move it to another day. You are definitely not someone who pushes things off (like me  )

d kathryn you have done great!

d nancy you took care of the ring and picked it up - that would be an advanced concept for me.

Good for you d harriet! glad you are getting a refund! Weeding and digging - well done! I would love to know the author of your gardening book. I am so happy you are enjoying your book!
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Lucylee: Here, if there isn't a government spot for recovery, people can choose to stay in retirement homes for assisted living while they recuperate. It is expensive but people do it for a number of reasons, even people in this building with friends nearby. In one case, a son paid for his mother to go to a place after cancer surgery since he couldn't come home to care for her. It was only for 10 days (what the doctor estimated) and she ended up staying only 5, but when she went home she knew she could take care of herself.

That would mean your mom could get the surgery right away and the ramp could be put in place while she was recovering elsewhere. You wouldn't be on call 24/7 and could get some rest and your brother wouldn't have to come to stay with her. Win/Win.

I'm done for the day. I really need to get exercising in the morning, doing it at night is really hard, it is super easy in the morning.

Lucylee...
Look into visiting angels... what we’ve been using with my mom or other health services like that for your mom.weve been quite happy with our girl. Or perhaps you DDIL can help out. Nice thing abt visiting angels is if an emergency comes up for one of their health providers, the service sends in a sub. Also talk to the rehab people... the case mgt assign to your mom... they can provide you with other services in your area.

We were able to get around the clock service when we needed it... the only requirement the service had was that my moms caretaker had her own room to sleep in. They even did the cooking for my mom.

We also did what Kathryn suggested and sent my mom to an assist living facility for six we’re and rehab was provided for her there. That way we didn’t have to worry abt her recovery and could take care of our other lives.

From the sublime ....

blessed, it's Charles Dowding in the UK
___________

to the ridiculous ....

that passage - it's about people who are struck with physical maladies. not dead and then rotting. So, no such thing as finding zombies in scripture. Or any other kind of validation. The dead-and-rotting zombie was invented for movies in the 60s and he's about 50 years old now - a for-profit, commercialism kinda guy, who has changed his diet several times to make more box-office cash. He just holds out his hands and says, "follow the money". ;) Hair by Alberto VO-5.

Hoping lucylee's dmother, LadyM's dh and Elizabeth's dd feel better soon.
