yesterday was a bit of a rough day but today is a new one!
I learned a lot so that was a good thing.

today I am going with dd younger (not sure of d mom) to a play downtown. I am looking forward to it. My d sil # 4 knew we had tickets and I had mentioned it a couple times but I hadn't written her in 2 weeks about it and wrote her yesterday. She said she hadn't heard from me so she made other plans. I am very responsible on this stuff, bc involves others, so I don't know why she hadn't written me to find out. but we still will have fun.

tomorrow I am tickled bc I am taking dd younger to her first ballet.
and then we have a graduation party.
I will miss not spending time with dd older though.

I am having trouble with planning menus. I am trying to simplify and I tend to think complex when it comes to cooking - perfectionism and ego 8-) ;)

heading out at 11:30 am as the play is at 2 pm

I'm up but not ready to tackle the day yet. DS9 was up several times during the night which means so was I. His fever spiked and he didn't feel good. Hopefully, the antibodies will kick in soon. Strep throat isn't much fun.

I've canceled being in the Armed Forces parade this morning. A DFriend had asked us to ride on their float and DS9 was looking forward to it.

I've also canceled hiking plans for today.

I am thankful my life is simple and activities can be easily canceled when sickness occurs.

Forgot about the Royal Wedding.

I slept in so no time to watch anything on that now (it will be online highlights at this point.)

I need to s2s so I can go downstairs and get my preaching resources so I can write a sermon.

LadyM, wishing a quick recovery to ds. Do you have any idea where he caught strep? As a homeschooler you have so much less exposure and it seems like a weird time of the year for strep to be going around. I hope the antibiotics kick in today.

I've been up since around 7:45 - I got to see them come out of the chapel and depart in the carriage at least, and they are reshowing clips and photos also. I enjoy seeing the royals.

I need to get the dog out on her walk and start on my cheesecake squares for dd. The air is thick enough to cut, so humid out there!

Kathryn, I didn't sweat getting up earlier because I knew I would catch the highlights. I woke earlier and chose to sleep until Muffin wanted me up.
