Perhaps Kathryn's neighbor will celebrate finding the snake, too!

I didn't cross much off my list yesterday, so I mostly recopied it for today. Hoping I can complete some "normal things" in addition to the genealogy reports. Dkids coming for supper tonight - we'll have the steak I thawed for Sunday, with roasted potatoes and salad or asparagus.

Right now: (gotta get my bottom off the seat)
-change clothes and get garbage can out
-walk the dog
-breakfast and meds
-empty dishwasher, clear kitchen counters
-start a load of laundry

that snake was a big one. glad they found it before winter.

good morning d twins! have a wonderful time with d kids tonight!

My ta-dah, lol I hope, is that I am here today!!! yay.
after stressful week (others stress and issues) I was off, mentally, yesterday and didn't get a lot accomplished. (lost of focus mostly). I am happy to be with everyone today.

-morning routine
-tide of clutter check routine
-health routine
-laundry routine
-what's for dinner (thinking it might me d mom as she is a bit off still - I wish she would come to my house even when I am working on it so we can talk) she is too overwhelmed at what she thinks need doing at my house and gets frustrated if I am not doing it all. it's okay it's part of her being who she is right now.
-evening routine
-basement
-pool
- thank you notes
-phone calls
-try my new weed puller after watering that area as it has been horribly dry.

I had wanted to sign up for some math classes but I will be gone in the beginning of the school year so I will have to push that to winter.

Have a great day - waving to you all!

I just realized I haven't been posting here in the last couple of days. I CUOP then leave the laptop before posting. There always seems to be a child or a SHE card that pulls my attention away before I post.

I've got DS10 homeschool lessons laid out and have went over those assignments and his newly revised list/schedule with him. His daily list is now in groups with time limits on them. Before he eats breakfast he needs to do this, this and this. Before lunch, he needs to have accomplished this, this and this. Hopefully putting a time limit on his items will make it where he doesn't feel like he has all day to get them done. Timewise it is very easy for him to accomplish - about 15 minutes of things before he eats breakfast. About an hour of things before he eats lunch. It is just a matter of GETTING THEM DONE.

I am taking DMom to a doctor appt this morning. Gotta get OTD. *POOF*

hi d lady! hi d nancy!

I got caught up in looking for a beginning sewing class for dd younger. I was surprised on how little is out there for a beginner. It is either learning about a sewing machine and jumps to advanced dressmaking.

heading to the basement. hello!

Good morning all! I cannot say I got a lot done last night, but since there was nothing on my list, that's ok. I did return some library books, put away the last of the LOLs, and work on Christmas crochet. I let the new cat have the run of the house overnight and that went as expected - some hissing, no actual fighting. I did not have dinner with traveling companion friend, that will be Wednesday.

Tonight is Girls' Night Out with DD16 and I don't know what she will want to do. Maybe eat Chinese, maybe library, maybe something else entirely. The library would be good for me. We should clean the new bookcase. Maybe I can convince her to declutter some more stuff. I want to clear out the freezer by eating up what's in there, but her celiac means I am on my own for that. The problem is that some of the things just aren't all that appetizing. There is nothing WRONG with them, just not what I want to eat.

Today's plan at payroll is to continue taming the paper tiger and the reports changelist. Personally, I have an email to type up and send and the usual daily stuff.

Blessedw2: Sometimes those "learn the machine" classes have an easy project to go with.

Trying to figure out what to start next. I think I probably need a "list of five" to get my bottom up again. I did walk a little over a mile - dMuffin got dropped off at home after a couple of laps but I walked more with dfriend M and R uby. M and her dh are heading out of town today.

-make the bed
-get rid of 10 pieces of paper
-look up directions for trying to get scanner "feed" working again
-out front, deadhead geraniums
-package up and put lamp and chicken into freezer

Not found yet. Twin's was just hoping.

It won't take winter, it is already getting too cold at night for the snake.

Snakes don't respond to the feels-like temp so it is already dodgy for Murphy out there on his own at night. The fear is he'll lie on the road to get the heat from that at night. Or coil up on a car's engine block.

"Lovely" hot weather at the moment, this week.

Saw two refugee families on Sunday and apologized for the heat this summer (they are both from Saudi Arabia.) Both said "It is not too hot. It is too humid." They are used to dry heat and the humidity is wearing them down since they don't have a/c. Last night at 10 p.m. it was 75 with a feels-like temp of 89, this morning it was 78 with a feels like of 92 and that's without any sunshine.

Normally we have 2 - 5 days where it doesn't get cool enough to sleep comfortably at night. Last week we had 3 days when the window could be opened for the first time in weeks. It is closed up again. Last night I slept in the spare room since dh and I disagree on the amount of a/c to be used and he hates a fan on so I can't even have the room warmer but with a fan on me. I slept very well.

thanks d elizabeth - I am going to stop by the sewing place (nothing local) and see what they have as the classes are all just machine and advanced classes - she can go into the city for private lessons  I was shocked being a big city that they had children classes in summer but not for beginning adults.

oh - no d kathryn!
I can imagine that the heat wouldn't bother the families but oh that humidity is so different.
have a great day
