Get ready... Hey it's Saturday!!!

Postby blessedw2 » Sat Nov 10, 2018 9:50 am

Put your oar in - get ready to move through your day.
What can you to today that will make the next week or two (thanksgiving US, Holidays etc.) that will take weight off your shoulders.

Is it rinsing the floors,
3 clutter checks today 10 min at a time.
is it ordering a turkey if you haven't
presents a little at a time.
What ever it is - gift yourself this chore to be done.

What will make you feel good to check it off your l*st, card file, journal, etc.

Can you get it out of the way first?

Wishing you a productive Saturday! Get ready - get it out of the way - let the job be done so you can have a sigh of relief that it is done.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

lol - I have decided to call myself a household and estate manager today :D instead of looking at it as chores. lol
If hotels have a concierge and large estates in UK have estate and house managers, well so can I. 8-)

Getting to work. :D

I did the errand and dropped off stuff for the party tomorrow. I can feel my social anxiety a bit. You would never know it by talking to me but I have horrible social anxiety at times which causes me to be awkward which is not the norm for me. I just have to enjoy people and I should be ok

I picked up a touch up for my hair
picked up other things at the local wall green - pain spray, candy for the white elephant (I think I will wrap that up today), tide pens for our purses,

taking a short break.
do more laundry - I thought I was so close to being done. ;)

Our entire family had something to do today -
dstepson and dstepdil vacationing on their anniversary,
ds and ddil at his fire dept's annual fair with the children, where he'll have all-day responsibility,
dd20 with the young man and his sister all day at a different fair event plus supper for the sister's bday,
(and I suppose dd38 is making her rounds to check on each sick member of her family, poor thing).
So HRH and I are hanging out together quietly, thinking ... .. why is it we we race around helping everyone else plan and then find ourselves at loose ends? Of course, we're enjoying the quiet time.

We went through such musical chairs of what was going to be happening this weekend that it's strange to think no one is tugging on us. I expected that at this moment I'd have 3 grandsons with me at the children's event where I was going to be the craft teacher for 20 children total, worrying about how I'd accomplish a big family meal tonight with at least a dozen family members.

A fun Ta-Da that my quandary over the postponed craft (how to turn a Thanksgiving wreath craft into a Christmas wreath craft) sparked imagination for dd and me. I showed her some thoughts about adding caroling children, and she has turned them into a charming sketch of three, for 3 individual sticker-on-foam images for the children to use. Also brainstorming using the full drawing for our card this year.

Thinking of BookSaver enjoying her sewing friends today.

Unhappy skippable
we've been harrassed for 2 days by unscrupulous person(s) who are using my cell phone number to multi-call our landline house phone. As many as 10 calls each day. We understand this is a method of tricking people into believing a family/friend is calling so you will answer. It happens with numbers that often call each other. A friend feels they must answer these calls, having no way of knowing whether it is the other friend calling genuinely or not. We're tough and can handle some difficulty, but many folks would be terribly confused and taken in by this, end up with bad feeling about innocent friends, etc. What sorry money-grubbers these are, to find ways to make profit (somehow?) off of the fact that normal humans have relationships and care about others.

That kind of phone scam is THE worst of all, Harriet. Happens here too.

I have been in bed all day.
I skipped the funeral visitation and dmom gave my apologies.
Dgs is still coming over tonight though — I must s2s and go get him.
Tomorrow is another day.

d harriet - wishing each of your dear family member a good day. also wishing dd38's family lots of fast healing!

why is it we we race around helping everyone else plan and then find ourselves at loose ends?
so true. I hope you enjoy some quiet moments
your dd20 is such a joy - I love her creativity - just like her dear mom Harriet

sorry you got hit with scammer phone calls - so frustrating
