I have to laugh since I either didn't know or didn't remember we had a symbol page. Here it is in case anyone else is as clueless as I.

viewtopic.php?f=14&p=163009#p163009

Dh is home now. He's had a very productive morning, adding a visit to our Senior friend and the car wash to the 3 errands he went to do.

He saw the super on the way in and our fibre optic cable installation won't be until Monday now. So we moved the sofa so it is not askew but still out from the wall since we don't need the room for the weekend.

I've sorted papers for data entry. I had sorted in January but then two more months of statements have arrived.

I'm going to try and get an account updated before having lunch.

LadyM — thank you! :) I think you must have cuop from last night? I’m feeling better this morning.

DS dropped off clothes for dgs for the weekend. (We'll be home tomorrow night but he will stay with us and ddil will pick him up for church — Sunday School. Usually not an issue but for Palm Sunday and Easter we’re having one service instead of two, so SS is before church.)

I will try to sow seeds of patience and kindness today. I know I’m going to have to help more with the driving. Dh still doesn’t really feel well, but wouldn’t think of disappointing dgs.
Tomorrow is another day.

I am planting flower seeds next. Sun is trying to peek out now. Flood advisory will expire in the next hour.
I have 90% of veg. Planted.
I have hanging planters to move, then I can resituate shelves for planting in the dirt in the planting cage today.
H was checking the grass seed today I reminded him is had not even been a week just 2 days so would not be up yet.
Gardening is great exercise.

Laundry is current, as are the dishes.
I did some mending last evening.

K in C thanks for that link.

I was absolutely clueless too, Kathryn. I'm almost betting we'll be seeing more symbols dotting our posts. Have to keep reminding ourselves that this plethora of helps is only a click away! :D

There! I planted the seeds with 2 DPC -why I'm so nervous about making appointments is beyond me! Made one for a haircut next Wednesday at 3:30. DD is getting her hair done at the same place (different hair dresser) at 4:15. So, hopefully dsonil can take me there & drop me off for the 3:30 & I'll just wait for dd & ride home with her. The 2nd DPC was to the eye dr. Got an appointment for July 22nd at 1:00pm. Think part of the reasoning (behind my dread) was the fact that I've not seen this particular Dr in 5 years -I've been going to the retina specialist. Think I was afraid they'd tell me I had to go back to him & I'm not very fond of him. I never got in to see him last year between all of dh's appointments & hospitalizations & my own heart attack. I am beyond sure I will be needing cataract surgery for my left eye. Much like Harmony, I'm dreading it because of all that happened after that surgery on my right eye. That's when I began having trouble with my retina in that eye -after the surgery. So I did get some 'seeds' planted & I can stop being nervous -for a while anyway.

Got my one LOL going. Started putting away the clean dishes. Trying to decide what seeds I can plant in each room -what's the best way (for me today) to do that.

Dbil called and talked for nearly half an hour. As I had said earlier dh's other brother & 2 nieces were there since Tuesday (& actually the brother since last Friday). Dbil said he thinks it was the worst week of his life (other than when their son had cancer & eventually passed away at the age of 21 -he'd be 62 at this point).

Now I need to get a check written to our local high school -we do a scholarship every year in memory of our dgdZoe (DS-A's). Had almost thought of not doing it any more till we received such a wonderful letter/thank you from the recipient last year. So perhaps we'll continue at least until dgs6 is out of high school. Doing it on a year to year basis. Zoe would be 7 on April 15th. Easy day to remember (in the U.S.)

Once again I am impressed and thankful for Harriet's organizational skills and memory! Thank you!

I made a big pot of macaroni & cheese. It's not a favorite food of DH or mine but DS10 and DGD7 think mac-n-cheese is a treat.

DH went to town to take care of 2 lists. One list was things to buy for the church and the other was our "buy this" list.

Once the sun fully came up I was able to see how much progress has been made on the swimming pool. The yucky green algae is disappearing and the water is becoming clear. Good news....I can now easily see small items 12' down on the bottom of the pool. Bad news.....I can see how much more vacuuming needs to be done.

I was also looking for the symbols page because I had forgotten about it, but in my case I got sidetracked in other threads/forums.

Dcleaning lady has done her magic, I need to get into the shower in a minute.

Thank you for the reminder, LadyM.
Idiot and stupid are not words that accurately describe SHE friends.
I keep reminding myself that a lot has changed since I worked tax season preparing and reviewing returns. And I am not feeling sharp by any means these days. I think the meds contribute to the general confusion I feel, but I'm also just not using the math and tax prep skills and using genealogy skills, which is where I do feel sharp at least.

I've reduced the meds from 400 mg morning and evening to 200 a.m and p.m. Have had some twinges along the way but not bad. If pain is seriously starting I'll increase meds but I want to stabilize, then try to drop again to what I was on before this started up in January.

Last night we went out to eat, then dh went to visit a hospitalized friend, while I went across the street to see dmom. After visiting with her awhile, I walked over to hospital and visited some there also with the wife of friend. They were both happy I came by, and he may be moving to a rehab hospital today or tomorrow.

Mulling what to do re raised beds. I probably should replace a lot of the soil annually. We are having friends for dinner Sunday p.m. and I'm feeling like a "command performance" is in the works. She does everything beautifully and I feel the need to measure up, they have a beautiful home but very different from ours. (Why do I feel the need to compete? Our home is lovely with a lot of treasured things displayed and is very comfortable for us. There are a lot of things we would change about it, but it's us.) All that to say that I'll be doing house things mostly this weekend, along with winding up the tax returns I can't face today. We will have rains and storms so it's not like I could do a lot outside anyway.

Dee, I just skipped breakfast and went straight to lunch.

Kathryn
, does your grilled cheese have cooked onion or raw onion in it? Bacon sounds wonderful but onion????

Shower for me.

Well, after a LOT of backtracking/sleuthing, I managed to find the check I sent to our school in August for Zoe's Memorial Scholarship. Now trying to decide if I want to send the balance or leave some of it for DS-A. I'm thinking I may just pay the balance then if anyone wants to put any in, it'll go toward next year's.

Texted dd that I'd made an appointment for hair cut next Wednesday at 3:30. She just texted me back that her appointment got changed to Tuesday. Arrgghhh! So asked if she'd mind picking me up on her way home Wednesday so I didn't have to change mine. She got her taxes done -must be either late last night or very early this morning. Ended up having to pay in $1,200 (Fed/NY state). Her dh worked in NY from mid March to end of October so they filed separately this year. One of the reasons their 'pay in' was there was because of the new tax laws, making her take home about $200 more a month. And they badly needed that while dsonil was out of work. Hopefully they can correct that for next year & they won't have NY taxes either. FL doesn't pay income tax -at least I don't think they do. Is that right, Harmony? At any rate dd has already told dfriend/camp manager that she can't work for the store this summer -unless they pay her in 'trade'. She doesn't want any NY income. Can't blame her there.

Time to switch the LOL to the dryer twin & go get the mail. All we've had for at least 2 weeks is JUNK.

Head isn't totally with it:

Mulling what to do re raised beds.

I was going to say I love having our spare bed raised because of the storage underneath and then a little voice reminded me to read the rest of the paragraph!

Twins: it is cooked onion. I'll fry that up first in my cast iron pan, then add it to the sandwich and grill the sandwich in the same pan.

I've finished updating one of the trading accounts in Quicken. That was just 24 months to catch up. Another one bites the dust. That leaves 240 months left to catch up. Of course, I'm falling behind in many cases while 'catching up' since I started this project 2 months ago! But I'll only catch up if I keep at it so I'll work on 2 more accounts (4 years for each) after I have my lunch.
