Are you near the lake, Cathy? You're right levels & flooding is worse than '17. We know several friends with houses along the lake front here. By boat we wouldn't be far from you. Do you remember the 'short-lived' fast ferry from Rochester to Toronto? Know the city here poured lots of $$$$$$ into that project. Forgotten how long it took by ferry but doesn't seem like more than an hour maybe? Now I have to look it up. of course I looked it up: 2 hours/15 minutes. Could be nearly 5 to drive. But sadly it failed rather quickly. Know Toronto spent a lot on their port as well.

I did the swimming pool daily chores in the rain but am hesitant to go walk in the rain. I don't want to be caught on foot away from home if the lightning starts. I'll wait until the storm passes for my walk.

I'm waiting to hear from DH. I've texted him to call when there is some downtime.

I was thinking of that ferry just last week!

On bus now. I'm wearing my safari jacket and pants and not carrying a purse or backpack. I'll list what I have with me later, the bus is too hard to type in.

dh won't use my good soil bags with fertilizer in it as he thinks his tomatoes do better with plain old dirt bags.
He wants me to go with him so that is on my list after my hair dye appointment.

dd younger is getting my d mom full on.. telling her that I will miss her, that she won't make it on her own, money and food. dd is overwhelmed. it's good that she moves into uncles home tonight. She wanted to go yesterday but mom said she should spend the night and then told her that she knew that she wouldn't spend the night at uncles. I have never figured out how my d mom is so unaware of her feelings. She will miss dd when she comes back in June to our area.

so far: morning routine in kitchen and in laundry room done.
now for zone work in the family room. I am so tempted to go work outside.

three zone jobs done:
vacuuming inside the family room couch
surface wiping the leather on the couch with cleaner
vacuumed under couch weekly (usually in home blessing)
cleaned out the ashes from winter from the fireplace (I need to call the chimney sweep).

(I am kind of round robin-ing rooms) I know i could have worked outside but I have to leave at 12:15 pm
