Happy Birthday, Harriet!
Dee - Thanks for the start today. Yes to being flexible!
My plan has been adjusted in a good way. Last night DSis took DMom to do the bulk of her shopping and errands. So that gives me 3 hours all alone!
I felt absolutely giddy when I walked out of the building after enrolling the kids in camp and getting them settled. DS10 wasn't thrilled but he is familiar with this place so he accepted that he would go. His reluctance was because of the increase of Tourette's tics. I reminded him that it was only for 6.5 hours so he could handle it.
The first thing I did with my freedom of having time alone was to go exercise at the park. I've missed doing this for the past several days because of the storms, kid care & DMIL in the hospital.
A bridge about 1/2 mile from our home was washed out in the last storm. That road will be closed for who knows how long. There are many bridges and roads that have washed away from the flooding. They have limited road crews and money to do repairs and/or rebuild them.
It feels weird to walk on the grass areas. The ground drops down an inch or so each time you take a step because it is so saturated.
I have 2 hours left with my alone time. I think I'll set an alarm and go lay down. I doubt if I can nap but I know my body needs the rest.
1. Know what you want.
2. Go after it relentlessly.
