Timing wouldn't be it, Lady M, as the last A1C I had done was 10/15/18 -more than enough time elapsed. I'm thinking she might have it and it's just not on my report yet. I'll know this afternoon. If she somehow failed to order it, I will ask that she wait a week or two before we try it again. But I will say my #'s have been staying in a very acceptable range ever since my heart attack, minus the metformin. Know my kidneys will like it if I don't have to go back on it.

Got the dishes done and my hair washed. It IS curly! And I have a hard time styling it since I can only use my right arm. Will see how it is after it dries & I brush it out. Then I might try using my curling brush one-handed.

Finished switching out dh's Lasix with the new medicine for the next week and a half. I see this one is 25mg and he was getting 40mg of the Lasix. We'll see.

Dee - excellent analysis and plan.

One of DMom's next door neighbors lost her arm in a car wreck many years ago She has a stub that is about halfway between her shoulder and elbow. I am astonished how much she is able to do one-handed. She deals cards in a casino one handed! She uses a push mower to do her lawn. After watching her do this then another neighbor started mowing her yard with riding mower when he mows his own. One day I was sitting behind her in church and noticed how beautiful her shoulder-length hair was fixed in a french braid. I told her how nice it looked and she said she was thrilled to learn how to french braid her hair one-handed. #Astonishing

I'd shown Kathryn's fire video to ds, and he was interested to see her good vantage point of a dept dealing with a car fire. He says the firefighters actually putting out the fire were well protected, wearing the right gear and doing all the right things. But yes, he questioned the whole traffic cone placement thing, not just about breathing fumes for the sake of traffic flow, but encouraging traffic so near firefighters at all. He quoted, "just one distracted driver away from a line-of-duty death".

I was frustrated to get an email saying that a top I'd ordered, on a free shipping deal, was sold out, so their process is that they cancel its order. When I'd ordered it, it just said on backorder until the 3rd and that was fine with me. I went to the site and there it was available for order :x if you'd accept backorder until the 9th, so I ordered again. It does irritate me that I lost free shipping because they assume their customers don't want the option to just wait a little longer. They have been difficult enough to contact that I may not continue to shop with them. As the declutter thread folks know, every time we order clothing from a stand-alone company (rather than A-river, for instance) for any of us, it may be convenient, but we always end up with a dozen upcoming catalogs mailed to us. It's become a trade-off that's already hard to accept.

Hi!

Overcast here today.

Spent the morning at a local Senior's event. They had various companies with tables covered in information for seniors. Transportation. A moving company. The Lion's Club was there. A specialized transportation company was there. (They only have 2 accessible vehicles and the deal with them is that the pick you up and stay with you at your appointment or grocery shopping or funeral or whatever and then drive you home. You don't need to be disabled to use their service, nor do you have to be a senior. Came home with a bag will some brochures in it. I left the bag in the car.

Did some banking for our company and came home because it started raining.

Supper tonight will be spicy sausages for dh and not spicy sausages for me. I will do a pan of onions, peppers and potatoes as the potato/veg dish. BTW LadyM, I think last night's supper for the kids was a good choice. You had chicken, the "corn" part of the corndog, the fried potatoes (even if they were in chip form) and dairy for the dessert. Better than gummy bears.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Paper never stops.

My computer and gmail are acting weird. I can't delete a gmail email part of the time. I get the little pop up saying it's deleted and asking if I want to undo, but the email is still in my inbox. Yesterday I ran CC cleaner, cleared the cache, cleaned things up and rebooted, and then it worked. This a.m. the issue was back so I restarted and that didn't help. I googled the issue and someone suggested updating Chrome, so I did that, restarted Chrome and it was working. Issue was back when I can back to the computer just now. I restarted again and then I could delete email. What the heck?

I feel aligned now with shoulders back and balanced right to left! I ran through the grocery again also, picked up the meds at drugstore and talked to dd on the phone.

Five:
-body work
-complete presentation for tomorrow (eeek!)
-8K steps, stretch
-pick up meds
-slice and mix fruit from refrigerator, take rotisserie chicken off bone and freeze in portions

I need to add a bonus task - I need to see my dmom. Will try to leave here around 1 p.m. and go then. I can't get there tomorrow and I may take dcousin to see her on Friday.

Harriet, this is a much shorter presentation than last time: 1.5 hours max including q & a. Last time I went for two hours and didn't get through. I'm shortening the material and giving them some additional material in Dropbox. And so much has changed, just in a year!

Got the service off this morning. Also got the accessory dh needed to the last of the team heading to Longido.

Had a good visit at DD's. Ds dropped in and we'll meet up with him for dinner before his shift.

Just finished lunch and are heading home now. My sister is picking up some alcohol to have out on the balcony as there's a hint of light. I'm in a jacket, though, and not overly warm.

Back from my Primary Dr's appointment. Everything looked good. Actually my A1C did come in later and it's at 6.7 (Was 7.0 in October). They like it a little higher I'm told when one is a diabetic. Everything else was better than ok -except my BP. It was 167/60 when the nurse took it. For some reason it's always high when she takes it. Dr. took it again later & it was down to 136/62. I'll never figure out why that happens. When I go to cardiac rehab it's always good. I see my cardiologist on Monday & I imagine he'll prescribe cardiac rehab & I'm alright with that -other than the $15 charge each time I go. All my numbers are below the 'required' and some are goodly below.

I find I'm also feeling much better this afternoon. Cold is seemingly on the wane. I woke up in the middle of the night and was drenched so think it broke then.

Hi everyone! I got the revised report to the appropriate people. The only remaining discrepancies are ones that are not under my purview. Once the other people fix their part, I need only rerun two procedures and the report itself, all of which is easy. Guess I should make my 5:

In no particular order:
  1. Pay a bill
  2. Pickup supplies for animal org event
  3. Print info for event if cat coordinator has not already done so
  4. Groceries
  5. Clear up financial stuff on kitchen table (in honor of anti-procrastination)
  6. Put away hallway painting stuff (also for anti-procrastination)

Oops, that's 6. Maybe I can combine the two AP items?
