<This sat here for hours.>
Harriet: a maid service isn't a bad idea. You still have to do the tidying/rearranging but you don't also have to muster the energy to do the actual cleaning.
The bed was stripped and remade, towels washed, bedding in the washer now, and my hiking pants/jacket were washed. There is still a load of whites waiting to be done. That load is done and the sheets are dry along with the towels. I need to hang up the whites since I just walked in the door.
I've wound, set, and restarted the clock. I've figured out why the weather station wasn't working (it wasn't the outside batteries but the inside ones, so all 8 have been changed.)
I've dusted and polished the dining room furniture.
I sent an email about a fall cruise (there's none in the price range I want to pay) and sent a request to book back at Hay Lake in September for 5 days.
I ran out to pick up my new computer from the UPS drop off and since the car was out anyway, swung by a nearby mall that had the bank, natural food store (henna) and milk I needed.
I still have vacuuming and other dusting to do.
But I also have emails to answer that came in while I was out. I picked up the mail and the government would like me to prove my charitable contribution claim on my taxes. Thankfully, that's not difficult, just time consuming to scan all the receipts. I think I can submit scans now instead of mailing hard copies. I did that for something last year.
