routines: don't over think it. Tuesday

My daily routines: yeah, each day I pick one different thing...I bake bread, I wash laundry on the washboard and spread it out on the bushes to dry; I use the flat iron and iron every single piece I just washed; I feed the chickens and milk the cows; I churn the butter and take it to the spring house; I hitch up the horses to the wagon and go to the store in town;

Tell me again why we complain about the work we do?

No, these days I drag around after DH helping him with whatever project he's picked... another 2 hours the other day finishing the tree trimming, pressure washing every leaf and twig around...

Meanwhile my house isn't the greatest. But I usually get caught up.

Today we went to a funeral service, open casket in a church...for a woman just 4 years older than me. Someone we knew from when we moved into this state... lovely service.

I need to fold laundry before bed.
