d lady - glad dd 12 had an uneventful day - and nice that she had a good chit chat that wasn't about girl/school drama.
good idea to make a triple batch. saves the time for 2 free dinners.

I love soup over anything except a good Mac and cheese! Comfort food at it's best!

put your feet up and enjoy!!! you deserve it d lady!

My eldest was the talker - dd younger she held it in. I have laugh bc dd older still tells me everything about her day - dd younger now calls which I like bc when she doesn't then something is going on. 8-) Lol now I hear about work drama from both.

your soup sounds delicious d Nancy! glad you got sunshine.

hello d everyone - I can't seem to go back to all of you - my scrolling only went so far - cheering you on - rah rah rah
it is always a joy to be here with you!

got the laundry basket from dd Youngers room completely put away! I am thrilled.
wrote a birthday card for a friend - I will send it out on the 25th.

mom's confusion is getting worse - I am worried that in a year she will go back to her native language - it happened with my grandfather.
She is being sweet and means well.

I messed up writing my cousins - I had put the wrong date for my dear aunts birthday on my calendar last year and continued it to this year! I try to do something to celebrate my loved ones who have gone before by doing something in their name. My aunt was an amazing cook so I am thinking in the realm of what I can do for someone else in her name.

I am getting really tired. I don't want to be.
praying I get up early tomorrow so that I get to a class that I want to take.

also tomorrow:
buy the rest of the February birthday cards.
stop by Michaels to get a heart cookie cutter for dd older as a surprise. She loves decorating cookies and has an amazing shortbread cookie recipe.

jobs missed: washing the trim and base boards in kitchen and laundry room.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

The items I unprocrastinated today were laundry ones. Two delicate loads I've been dreading. I was very concerned about making the wrong choices that would have a couple tops looking worse for wear, but so far so good. They are drip-drying still and I'm not touching!

Dove, I'm so glad your door glass was not broken by that - yipes.

Today was a good eating day and most calories early. Smoothie chock full of smart decisions, then my kind of loaded potato with black beans, corn and homemade guac. And for supper just a sweet potato with herbal tea (and almond creamer). The only thing I went a bit off the rails with was cheese on crackers.

A phone call from dmil - she was completely unhurt but had been unable to get back up when she fell/sat backward pulling a tree limb that had fallen. The couple down the road helped her up and she walked back to the house. She says that was her last limb to pick up. She does always have her phone, but I think HRH and siblings need to ask what the dr says about a cane, which she will hate. I think it is quite possible that, had she been in the house, she could have gotten right up, but that's something else to talk about.

Called and finally got an appt for the specialist my gen prac had referred on November 6, more than 2 months ago. So often just having to do other people's jobs. I'd already checked once and knew it was received. The nurse who called back with appt times said she had no explanation, but the request had gotten to the facility, never to their dept.
