I'm married to a comedian.

This made me chuckle. I love how his wit shows up and brightens your day.

S word for this hour is Sweep. One of my 5 daily cards for this hour is to vacuum from one end of the house to the other.
1. Know what you want.
2. Go after it relentlessly.

Monkey Bread just came out of the air fryer. I don't eat it, but I do enjoy baking and the amazing smell.

I am starting my slow down to coast through the end of the week.

flip flopped animal blankets
rinsed first floor after vacuuming
emptied dw

having a scone with raspberry jam and English double cream. I made my new tea- I was hungry and wanted something that made me feel spoiled. I officially feel spoiled - nothing great but tasty

Next 5 minutes in garage :D
then vacuum stairs to basement :D
then 5 minutes in the 3 season room :D
then 5 minutes upstairs :D
fed birds and made a mess of it. 8-)

I have never had monkey bread d lady - I know your family will love it!

Dove, thanks for the hair-and-towel thoughts.

Mystery, hope you get the technological problems fixed and dc gets into the right classes.

Elizabeth is often the one with technological stories. Miss hearing from her.

blessed, glad you like your new tea. I tried the Bengal herbal tea from Cel estial and was very disappointed that it is so heavy on the cinnamon and tastes "powdered" to me. So I'm probably going to save up my pennies and buy the expensive one from Herbaly again called Wellness, which is more of a recipe blend.

Special Shindig this evening is game night for dd43 (44 tomorrow) birthday party. We will have Japanese take out (gee, it's expensive, comparatively), which will be my first eating-out meal of 2024. So, I've had nothing else today except my smoothie and a small sweet potato. I'm just having 3 sides with them, but I am not naive - it will be way too salty.

Others will want to stay up late, but I won't, so maybe we should take 2 cars. Thinking.

I pulled a muscle (I hope that's all it is) yesterday and not feeling up to par, unable to find a really comfortable position.

Sewing is stalled because of perfectionism. I'm at probably the most color-dependent part of the very center, and it's not that the fabric isn't chosen, it's that the same fabric blends from pinks to navy with all stops in between. So, it makes a big difference exactly how it is cut/sewn into other fabrics. Feels like 4-dimensional chess here at home for this, lol. So, I wonder what the games will be at the party tonight. Boy- and teen boy-leaning, I suspect. They showed me games they got for Christmas but so new they went over my head - nothing familiar.

”S” here is for “sisterhood” — it’s Girls’ Night tonight. No major theme except that we’re having a baked potato bar. Don’t know what the man of the house will do with himself this evening — he (and my own DH) was supposed to be out at the Scout camp this evening, but they canceled their event due to the weather. I suppose we can let him have a potato or two. ;)

Hair towels! I love my microfiber towels; my kids hate them. They have curly hair and say the microfiber makes the tangles worse.

Heading out now. Have a wonderful evening, everyone!
I've got my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder, and Guilder to frame for it; I'm swamped. -- Prince Humperdinck
