Write it down Wednesday PWYC

Postby Twins' Mom » Wed Feb 07, 2024 8:10 am

Write it down! If I had written things down, and done the planning that happens when things go from the brain to paper, I wouldn't be worrying about today!

Not that I was awake-in-the-night worrying, but I would have done more last night instead of collapsing.

I need to be out twice today - and in between need to put lasagna together and make challah for ds. The issue is that the challah takes 1.5 hrs in bread maker, then about an hour more in shaping, rising, and baking. So when I'm being a ping pong ball in and out, it's hard to figure out timing for lasagna. And I have to be moving this a.m. to be somewhere at nine. And a third time out to take ds the lasagna.

I really should have planned this last night, and at least made the challah then. Anyway, off to the shower.

-hair appt
-take in dfriend M's garbage can - they are away
-body work appt
-challah
-assemble lasagna, deliver to ds
-bank, deposit for HOA
-try to recycle (at least get it in the car)
-ditto for stuff to Goodwill
-what else, or will I just collapse this afternoon?

Good morning

I'm starting to trust the cards a tiny bit more each day. I want to know that things aren't falling through cracks and being forgotten. Since I didn't know my drivers license had expired I obviously have more cracks to discover. I prefer to tackle a stack of cards that keep me on track with known needs instead of being surprised by the things that I am unaware of needing focus.

Today in the kitchen =
** fruit salad
** little potatoes with a sauce
** mac & cheese
** Vegetable/meat soup

Tonight meal with our church family is pancakes, sausage, and bacon. We have this meal once a year on the 1st Wednesday of February which is around Groundhog Day.
1. Know what you want.
2. Go after it relentlessly.

Back from haircut. Also found drive-through for the bank that is on the way home. And I got in the garbage can down the street for M.

I can use the timer on the bread to have the dough ready to take out when I get home from body work. Instead of 1.5 hours I'll set it to start up at 11:45ish after I'm out again. Right now the priority is to get the lasagna assembled.

I talked to ds and he needs more tissues and wants me to bring the pulse oximeter. I bought one when COVID first came around in case we needed to check. Ds is something of a hypochondriac but OTOH had asthma and allergies pretty bad as a child.

I feel so so much better now that I had time by myself. I needed to wake up even though I have been awake since 7:30 am.

dogs are laying on the other side of the door -They are looking at me like - "why???! aren't we with you???!" "lets go have fun!!!

Dh is upstairs and I needed that too. - thank goodness he is not sitting outside the door with the dogs and looking in at me as well 8-) :D

Boy I needed this time!
I pulled cards
I made up cards for the outside work so that I stay on track.

The next right thing:
make this an easy day - still do the work but without perfection. Just enjoy the day!

My dd's/d mom's building elevator has been working and dd younger is trying to get my mom out for the first time in almost a month. She does better when she has time seeing new things and being around people that are younger than her.

light timer day:
1. take my meds
2. exercise for me
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Back home again. Aligned and balanced, I hope!

-hair appt
-take in dfriend M's garbage can - they are away
-body work app
t
-challah
-assemble lasagna, deliver to ds
-bank, deposit for HOA
-try to recycle (at least get it in the car)
-ditto for stuff to Goodwill

Next up is to shape the challah and let it rise and bake. The lasagna can go in the oven at the same time. While that happens, I may be able to load the recycling and goodwill stuff in my car.

Hi!

I'm so bored that I'm cleaning my oven just for something to do.

Dishes are all clean and put away. Laundry is all clean and put away.

Dh will be having linguine with alfredo sauce (from a jar) and shrimp. I will cook the pasta and then he will take over and do the sauce and shrimp. I have no idea what I'm going to have.

I even cleaned off the island yesterday and moved the coffee maker from the other counter to the island. Now I'm dusting books.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Paper never stops.
