Lucylee, I have dug up a clump of daffodils this time of year and moved them. If you have some still blooming you might try that, and give them some bone meal which is apparently good for them.

I had a new trainer today - very young and doesn't know me and is unsure of what I can do. She started things out very light and easy with me but I had a good workout by asking for a little more weight and reps.

After the workout I went to P.O. for HOA and gassed up my car. Home to groceries to put away, at least perishables are put away. Roomba is going.

I need to rest a minute and get busy again.

-finish putting groceries away
-Straighten up for dcleaning lady
---clear kitchen table by folding a load of laundry there and putting away 2 outdoor pillows
---reboot laundry, sheets for upstairs to dryer, fold laundry in dryer right now
-Update info for dog for teen who is dog sitting
-walk the dog
-order my food to pick up at six fifteen, perhaps.

Dh is going to a clients home for a "bourbon tasting." He's not sure whether it's "meal quality appetizers" or whether they're serving dinner, or nothing. I told him I am going to order from favorite restaurant for my dinner and pick it up, ten minutes away. If I have any left he's welcome to eat it, if he's hungry.

When I worked as a CPA they developed a custom of ordering pies for Pi Day. (We were obviously a bunch of nerds.) They did a lot of things to make it more interesting for the tax staff, who was working on 14 March on the corporate returns due the following day.

Only one tiny clump blooming, Twins, so it’s not worth it.

THE SWEATPANTS ARE MENDED!!!
Dgs will probably choose shorts instead now that it’s warming up, but they are DONE!
It took me approximately 20-30 minutes and I’m sure my stitches would not meet my grandmothers’ standards— but several months time THINKING about it and 30 minutes DOING it — I am shouting TA-DA!

PS — LadyM — my reward is to do the Sudoku in the paper. Thanks for the motivation.
But I think we’re going to eat supper before I can get started on it.
Also returning a dish to my dmom
2 weeks thinking time, 30 minutes doing time.
Tomorrow is another day.

yay on sweatpants being mended d Lucy! yay on your work!!!

d Nancy yay on getting a nap and getting things done wow!!!

good for you d twins! good that you spoke up and got the weights and reps you wanted.
Hope your dh has fun at his bourbon tasting!

hi d lady - I dislike when one gets delayed in traffic! it's good that she loves her counselor - just being able to chat makes her feel good! good for her!

I love silly jokes d harriet!
love it - Shepherds Pi! I will tell that to my girls.
sending you a good nights sleep.

Dh is finally home: The care manager that ignored us: She didn't explain why we couldn't get cannulas and then she lied and said his medicare would not cover it. She was a snippy thing. I finally spoke to a blessed woman (who didn't have to help us) who went from person to person to get an answer for us. After she called the case manager we got a call from the case manager's boss who set everything right.

1. the one company who gave us our cannulas last year can not give us tracs until home health is done bc of medicare (we had medicare last year but we started with a different company last year and they got orders wrong all the time.. (care manager didn't mention that)

2. Home health's nurse will place an order for cannulas- care manager never said a thing - I has spoken to the health company and they had told me multiple times that they could not give us trac supplies bc the other company gave us the equipment. The care manager said that she spoke to them and nope she hadn't - no record of it in the home health care system.
3. the care manager told us that dh is not insured for cannulas and he still had to go home - she was wrong and horribly dangerous. Thank goodness for her boss.
4. the care manager could care less- he had to go home period even if they didn't have cannulas.

The protocol now is that equipment does not come until the nurse comes in. I think it's dangerous situation with cannulas and any supporting life items as we have had things backordered, shipped wrong, or disappear all together. I am sure it will be fine! We have dh's male nurse back again. We love him.

good he looks great and said he feels better than he has for months. He has been a pill and fighting me but I am sure it's because he is tired of people telling him what to do.

the hospital can usually only give 3 cannulas - gave us 12
they also gave us enough food and two feeding syringes.
The hospital gave us 4 x 4 cut bandages
God Bless the nurses, doctors, respiratory specialists and aids and Mrs. Henderson of home health equipment supply end of the company.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

(((Blessed)))) Thankful for your diligence in making sure everything your DH needs is available. What a frustrating and difficult path to track the solutions. You are amazing!

lucylee, they have several brands of pure cherry juice in the "juices" aisle at HT we noticed, so other stores should have at least one. He won't like it a bit without some kind of sweetener, I doubt. It was a big help for gout back when HRH used to get attacks. We once spent time with a tarpaulin over part of our roof - it does work, even though it is unattractive. We will be having resealing ourselves soon (around chimney).

Outdoor replanting for me today, too. Not a lot, but pleasant. I think it rains tomorrow.

Sewing, too. Some visual progress but a lot of it has been thinking out the puzzles. That has to happen too, of course. It's not wasted time, but not as satisfying as having something to hold that you've finished.

email from tax preparer - one more thing. Always one more. Actually done with that now, I think.

dd25 got the same text "What do you call sheep standing in a circle" from dd44. Her answer may have been even more clever than my "Wolf Gang, Mows Art". She replied, "baaaaaaack off, they're having a seance".

She has been painting since she got home and I've been sewing. 8-) 8-) HRH had to break it up and get us to eat.

Thanks for letting me know I'm not totally alone in this, Harriet! We haven't gotten out a tarp yet, although it might be useful. One reason we haven't fixed the sheetrock ceiling is that this doesn't happen all the time -- we might have basically a FLOOD, and the ceiling will be as dry as a bone. Then a light rain will send some more little shreds of sheetrock falling. So it's very frustrating, and of course, we're not going to patch this big place in the ceiling until we KNOW the roof is fixed. Of course, the last time the roofer came out, he told me to go ahead and get the sheetrock fixed, "and if it leaks again, I promise I will be out here the next day and see exactly where it's coming from." But. Dh. Life gets in the way.
BTW -- we're getting rain tonight and tomorrow morning.

DH does drink cherry juice, a small glass, I'd say, every day when he takes his night time medicine. Maybe he should drink more.

I never did anything else after we got home. But those sweatpants ARE mended. I'll rejoice in that for awhile. LOL.

Enjoy spring break, LadyM! :D
Tomorrow is another day.
