It's Pi Day! 3.14 PWYC!

Postby CathyS » Thu Mar 14, 2024 6:52 am

Not those pies! Math geeks everywhere will let you know how many decimals they can get to today.

People who have won pie eating contests might be tempted to tell you how many actual pies they have conquered today as well.

Choose your pi(e) for the day.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Paper never stops.

No pie around here today, but maybe this coming Sunday.

Yesterday after leaving the accountant's office I was emotional. Whether it was with relief or not will probably bother me for much of today as well. Although I speak to my brother and we keep in touch with emails and texts as well, I haven't actually seen him for at least a year. I was shocked at how old (mature?) he looked yesterday when he was standing beside his truck waiting for me to get out of my car. I actually thought "Who's that old guy?" He just turned 50, but he looks just as old as my dh who will be 64 in June. We talked about a lot of things, including my dh and my estate, so lots of things to deal with on my end. My brother insists that dh and I must both write formal wills ASAP. My accountant agreed.

Supper tonight will be pork chops.

Paper never stops.

Happy Pi and Pie day d Cathy!!!

it was an emotional time d Cathy - working on wills/seeing your dear brother (which I am glad you were able to see) is a lot mentally and emotionally.

Ugh. I'm feeling rushed today, in part because I've taken my time this morning and didn't realize I have the 11 a.m. Zoom. First I have to walk the dog so she stops harassing me and I can think again.

(bw2) So glad he will be home again.

bw2, thank you for the reminder:

overwhelming, remember:

I need to remember. I do think you're correct that the time changes makes us feel like we're rushed and always running late.

I have already solved the highest priority for the day: a dog sitter for Friday into Saturday. Ahh. I had struck out everywhere, had forgotten it's spring break for many schools here. A HS neighbor will do it, I know he's not actually crazy about dog but says they are growing on him.

Priorities:
-breakfast, a.m. routine (so much for my good record on Crossroads of the day)
-11 am Zoom
-grocery order on Instacart
-email DAR registrar. I found an error in the references page of the application. (my error, not hers, although she had checked it too)
-upstairs sheets for dog sitter, dcleaning lady can make the bed up tomorrow a.m.
-2 p.m. workout

Dh is out again tonight - I didn't quite understand the function but it is what it is.
