First focus is getting ready for dcleaning lady. After that, it's focusing on being away for 20-something hours.

I'll have some downtime later this morning I hope. I won't need to pack much for overnight away and I have the small CPAP now so it's already in a travel bag.

Editing to add:

Dcleaning lady is doing her magic, I've had breakfast and dog is walked a lap in a very light rain.

Next up:
info for teen who is dog/house sitting and $ for him
s2s for me
pack what I'll need for overnight away
two cards, write note and put in mailbox
water plants on porch

Good morning!

I am loving the mental freedom of being on spring break. I highly recommend it! :)

I have nothing on the calendar today. My project for today is getting DS15 ready to pack. That mostly involves going to the city and spending loads of money on his clothes. DS15 will be gone for 6 of the next 7 days. Concert, skiing, mission, exploring/sightseeing trip are happening one after another
1. Know what you want.
2. Go after it relentlessly.

My idea of keeping my mind off of dh's appointment later... I'm dusting the spice jars in the pantry.

No idea of what's for supper. I can't even look ahead that far today.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Paper never stops.

((((Cathy))))))

Why is keeping the kids in clothes such a struggle?

DS15 doesn't think he can fit in clothes shopping today because he has a full day/evening planned. He is gone all day tomorrow. So we will do clothes shopping on Sunday which means there will be zero time for plan B if we can't find what he needs. Ahhhh....living life with a teenager full of confidence that the limited stores we have will have what he wants.

DD12 counselor appt yesterday included a conversation about her reluctance to get new clothes and stop wearing her heavy winter coat. DD12 doesn't like change but she can't continue to wear the same clothes year after year. Her body is growing and which means the clothes are too small. I have offered many times to make clothes shopping as fun adventure in the big city. DD12 considers that to be a horrible idea and absolutely refuses. We discussed DD12 picking out clothes online and we can order them. She declined. SOOOOOOOO....with all that conversation happening and what I thought was no progress made.........imagine my surprise and delight when DD12 picked out 2 shirts at Sam's after we left her counselor appt. I do realize she hasn't actually worn the new shirts yet, but DD12 being willing select new clothing is progress.

((((d Cathy)))) praying.

d lady I am sorry you couldn't get the cloths shopping out of the way!
about the cloths - we had the same thing with dd younger - for years we couldn't convince her to stop wearing shorts in winter and then it was pants and sweaters in the beginning of summer. dd now loves cloths but it was years and years of the same thing. I had a quilt made of her favorite shirts in her late teen years when she started to spread her wings a bit.

so happy she picked out cloths from Sams - a toe in the water -
praying she blossoms into feeling comfortable in the new.
