January's Dynamic Declutter

Postby Harriet » Thu Dec 31, 2009 6:48 pm

Clarity, organization, efficiency and optimism – these are the possibilities that meet us at the beginning of the new year!

Happy 2010! Happy blank calendar, clean slate!

In this thread, we encourage each other to strive for at least 15 minutes a day toward making our homes clear and calm. But whatever your particular 2010 ideas or schedules for decluttering are, we are delighted to hear about the plans – let us know!

Decluttering is not just “keeping up”. Decluttering is a DYNAMIC process that makes a real difference.

The benefits are less stress, a calmer life, fewer time-drains, a happier environment, space again for our own dreams, and the rewards of seeing the effect of our lovely home (actually available for living) on those we love.

It’s worth it! Welcome, and please join us!

What successes do you have to report for 2009? They will inspire more than you think.

What goals will you set for 2010? You will find encouragement and partners here.

Never feel alone, even with a tough clutter problem – we here can relate! Many among us have needed a search party to come find us in our clutter! Clutter is picking a fight with ALL of us. We are with you.

oooo.... that almost sounds like a ---- CHALLENGE!

2009 was a rough year at the Smile*Lee house as far as decluttering goes. Too much traveling, in and out of the house kept me a bit scattered. I hope I can GMAT for 2010.

I really DO want space for my dreams!

This is a good spot to park.

I have no idea why I have wandered so much the last few days. Oh yeah-it's vacation/down time, maybe that's why

I have lists to make, dreams to put on paper, plans to think up and record.
I plan on working on that all day tomorrow.

YGG, Motivated 1. The way our bedroom looks right now, some major decluttering is in order. DH and I did pack a couple of bins of Christmas things (for our Christmas in July) today. He stacked those in the garage. There is just way too much stuff in there right now. Think I'll start the New Year with a decluttering marathon in there. I'll work on the l&&t tonight and tomorrow morning.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Hi All!

My goal is to declutter the Living Room, at least 15 minutes a day, by the end of January.

I have some piles that have been there awhile, so they grow roots. We will breathe so much easier in there when we have more open space.
Every day is an adventure!
