One tall kitchen garbage bag of clutter left my parents' house today. Not donation-worthy but still that freed up about 2 square feet of space.

Love the little happy dancing person, blessed!

Oops, sorry Twins' Mom! That was confidence in you I was displaying! :D

"clutter Brain" "there is too much conflicting “noise” confusing you" Bob Harper (trainer) used this for loosing weight as a way to say there is so much information and too much to do in a persons mind that it confuses them on what is right and what to do first. Pam Young, years ago on one of her tapes, mentioned that she realized, while caring for a sick grandchild and daughter, that her and her daughters brains were filled with too much "noise", as Bob Harper uses, to make decisions for what needs to be done. She came up with the slogan, "Do the next right thing" because in your heart you will know what that is. I always laugh when people say they have "a hah moments" after Oprah used them; but these statements hit the spot for me exactly as a big A Hah moments!

As a young person and young adult, my wonderful intelligent organized father would see the chaos in my head and remind me "Keep it simple". HIs engineering mind saw things in a clear cut methodical way. I loved the theory but being so cluttered inside and out of all the things, I couldn't focus. Coming here and dejunking here and there has helped me feel less cluttered (most of the time), inside and out helping me do many of the things I want to do without getting caught up in too much stuff. I still have these moments but as I have aged I can see The goal in decluttering my home and my brain is to have more quality than quantity in my life (another A hah!lol.

Living instead of existing with stuff is a good thing.

Burned a stack of personal papers in the chiminea plus a box and an old knife block that was too damaged to save. Other things I had wanted to burn had gotten damp in the shed so will need to find time to do them some other day.

Filled a big black trash bag this afternoon with:
* stuff from my car
* stuff from the shed
* stuff from all over the yard

Cleaning the yard would have gone faster, but first I had to search to find where DH left the wheelbarrow, then when I found it I learned that it's missing a wheel.

I had almost bought myself a nifty little yard cart a few times this summer, but kept telling myself that I didn't need it because we had a wheelbarrow. This is 1 time when being thrifty worked against me. :(

look at you dbook getting things out of your car, shed AND yard!!!
Don't feel so frustrated - it could have been the other way where you bought the yard cart and found the wheel barrow - can you still get it and toss the wheel barrow? you are doing great!
