I decided to hire my dd older (of course at a mother's rate ;) ) to help dh organize his garage after the holidays - He is more likely to work with her than myself. She knows him and loves him so I am hoping that she can use her organizing business to help him refocus in there.

Blessed , What a wonderfully smart idea! WTG for thinking up such a good idea!

I'm looking forward- rather than dreading- going through stacks, files in baskets, file box, and filing cabinet, to find stories started, outlines, lists of titles, etc... to put onto 4" x 6" index cards, to put into outlines, on my cards, in my writer's idea file box. It's something I WANT to do, for me, I look FORWARD to it, because I'll leave a trail of decluttered files behind me in my wake!

Eventually, today, I need to hang up clothes, put away leg warmers, etc.. on our MBR chair. I must keep picking up after myself, ALL the time, as though I'm 3 years old!

Wrote an OMM List, so I guess you could say, I've decluttered my MIND today, and have items listed on paper now!

Oh! I DID declutter some "stinking-thinking". I was waking up, in a very negative mood, 2 days in a row, not knowing why or how, but I put the cabash on that ASAP! I was overly tired, both times, when I woke up, so wasn't "feeling like myself." :( :o All is well now, on the Western front. ;)

Oh! And I wasn't feeling well! Started to cough a LOT in bed, late last night. Woke up coughing and sneezing a lot. Am taking generic Benadryl for the bug-allergy symptoms. It helps a LOT, to make me feel better.....

So that will help, with having more alertness and energy, for decluttering.....

I think it's a GOOD THING, as Martha would say, for us to declutter our minds and attitudes, occasionally. You clean the cobwebs out of the attic, (mind), and can think clearer and be more joyful and positive, with an Attitude of Gratitude. ♥ My MIL used to say, "You can attract more flies with honey, than you can vinegar! ;) ;)

Today, I:
- put away a yarn project and hook,
- I put 2 books in a basket,
- I put my horseshoe pillow in our MBR, twice, after using it, (I need to pick up after myself like I'm a little toddler!),
- Hung clothes up in the MBR,
- Made the bed,
- Threw away a yarn department receipt, with snippets of yarn,
- Put a yarn projects tote into a safer place in the great room, so nobody will trip over it,
- Put away nail trimmers,
- Put away bobby pins,
- Put away a sliver cross and blue beaded bracelet, (I made),
- DH put dirty laundry into the utility room laundry basket,
- I sorted mail, purged the junk/envelopes,
- I deleted emails, which I didn't need.....

I don't know if I'll declutter anymore this evening. I ended up with an ocular migraine, so don't feel terrific now, but I don't feel badly either. I think I'm a bit tired, so have some letters to reply to, an email to write to thank someone for sending me a quote book, to let her know I've changed my signature, here, to one of the quotes she's sent to me. Also, as I reply to snail mail, I'll be decluttering out to the burn trash, old letters/envelopes I reply to, too. ;)
