June Declutter and Organization, 2019

Postby Harriet » Sat Jun 01, 2019 12:19 pm

Have you had any FUN organizing lately? :)

Organizing ahead of time makes the work more enjoyable. Chefs cut up the onions and have the ingredients lined up ahead of time and have them ready to go. When everything is organized you can clean as you go and it makes everything so much easier and fun. - Anne Burrell

Making it fun ? Hmmm ... .. Might seem an impossible dream at times. But, maybe you can at least turn around and see that there's an organizing path you've been clearing, and seeing that is fun! What enjoyment are you taking in organizing these days?

The great artist is the simplifier. - Vincent Van Gogh

thank you dear Harriet for a great beginning to June!

I love the word simplify now. For me it means taking weight off of my shoulders.

Yesterday: "do you know, now that I got rid of a lot of my stuff in the garage, I can find things faster!" dh said this - :D :D :D
this is what I have been hoping for.

hello d harmony and d lucy as well!!!

dd older and myself went through the rest of dd youngers stuff (she left it after going through things but there was still so so so much stuff that was from many years ago and junk that is child size and broken or torn). I hated doing it but I saw how she didn't even know 3/4 of what had been in the boxes.

we have a large black bag for donation. and medium garage bag for tossing. and now lots of washing bc her cloths still smell like a moldy basement. (they had been in tight plastic boxes but the smell went in any way).

cheering everyone on!

It was our bi-weekly recyclables task day - truck will come in the a.m. I got a lot to the can. Broke down boxes and folded or even taped them so that they would fit, so only one is sticking up out of the can. As usual, have been waiting on this chance long enough to grow frustrated. Rearranged a box of books in the car to go to donation.

Working on paper tiger. I got a basket of stuff sorted and tossed in the trash.
I purged three note books as well.
