February Declutter Strategy

Postby Harriet » Fri Jan 31, 2020 8:46 pm

Clutter has been on the move  and our thread went to 7 pages last month!

The new year inspired, plus blessed brought us information on expert STRATEGIES.

Lots of successes were reported, pointing toward clear spaces.

What are your strategies to keep decluttering through February? We have an extra day this month, so that's interesting. How will you LEAP over your clutter hurdles? ;)

Ten min. Rounds as I have time and weather permitting on the carport is my strategy.
I did the top of the fridge.
Storted some old papers.
Tossed some containers.
Hubby took out old non digital TV.

Old broken sewing machine is leaving the basement.
Done got it upstairs outside.
One other rather large item is out the door and in the trash.

I did a fair amount of decluttering last month - I wasn't as diligent as bw2 and Nancy but I did pretty well. My task this month is to work on the garage - I have several boxes for charity and need to do a general garage straighten up/declutter too.

I think I did pretty well last year too. I keep at it.

So, this is paper declutter... I went through the receipts 2-drawer file cabinet and bagged up for permanent storage all the business receipts, etc. I need to keep. Two very small bags. They're getting smaller and smaller as the years go by. I always look at anything else in the files and see what I can get rid of.

Emptied the shredder after that work and took the bag out of the tall can in the office. 11 1/2 pounds worth of paper out to the garbage. Yay!

today is supposed to be my decluttering day - 15 to an hour - I am hoping to look for things for about 10 minutes.
