I was considering colored totes today for storage they were just under $5.00.
I like clear ones better.
I need to declutter something or do a round of declawing the paper but my ear is acting up so here I sit!
I have been good at processing the junk mail and that has paid off in the long run.
I sorted one small area in the kitchen counting that.

I cleaned under the kitchen appliances.
Also under the taller dresser and bed in the master bedroom.
I mostly got the dust bunnies but glad for that progress.
Oops this should go in the cleaning thread. oh well.
I took the rest of the holiday mugs downstairs to go in the totes.

today was a stressful put away - I don't know why. took down the lights from the windows and they are now in the garage... I need to move the one car to get them on the top shelf. I am trying to figure out why it left me incredibly stressed.

I put the large st. nicholas and the small fake christmas tree in the kitchen - ready to bring downstairs after vacuuming and wrapping.
I also have one box that has to go downstairs and one swedish dala horse on the window that needs to go downstairs.

what has to be worked on ahead: set up mouse traps in closet - put christmas boxes along one side of the basement until I feel the mice are kaput

the last thing to declutter in kitchen will hopefully be done tomorrow. (the 1 bottom shelf and the floor of small pantry). The kitchen decluttering will be complete (lol for now).

truth: I like being honest: I joined a program when it was on sale for $49.00 (minimal moms price at the time) with a group: Take your house back.
I will say there are things I don't have to go through any more but they go over some of the things I learned on my own.

One talk is about how why we keep things - our past self, what we wanted to be, who we imagine who we are or will be if we have this this and that.
Our identity is wrapped up in the stuff that we can't possibly do everything and be everything. (and there is or can be grief in that)

. I went through that when I listed all the things I wanted to do that showed up in my house. there were way to many projects re: crafts, too many sport stuff who i can't be anymore even if I wanted to, and too many dreams and big ideas that they buried me. They said it is like denial and grief of who you wanted to be and who you were now and for me and others trying to over-goal on too many things that multiple lifetimes would take to do it. - so true. I learned this the last few years but it's good for me to hear it again.

My plan:
I have been decluttering for years - but still want to get the rest out. I know that decluttering is life long but chaos with the stuff doesn't have to be. lol if only I could get dh on board. (but he has made some headway)
