Well it's not much but I decluttered my sock drawer today. rearranged some and found a couple pairs to donate. It's neater now and all fits. I tried on an odd-looking pair I don't think I've ever worn and find them soft and comfortable.

I am really looking at my drawing table (like a architects table top) to see if it's worth keeping. I have had it over 10 years and have rarely used. it's cool but it's in the basement.

getting rid of folding card table as it is in bad shape.

Donated architectural table and tossed card table

pulled all but one walking stick - they are at front door for the donation center.
pulled paint cans - I do this yearly - I never touched a couple of them last year and they are going.

donation run made: 2 - late 1800 irons - I still have 1 plus one set from early 1900
walking sticks 5
1 like new office garbage can
2 - beautiful blazers of dd younger she hasn't worn since high school
1 soft robe rarely worn

Into the donate bin: 2 pairs of shoes, 1 paperclip holder, 1 empty journal book, 1 hand crocheted shawl. Shoes didn't fit, I've got 3 of those paperclip holders already, lots of journal books, and shawl wasn't used in 40 years and I used to put it over the back of a couch but DD's both gave me those plush afghans so how many things like that do I really need?

I sorted pillowcases and ended up dividing them between my 2 linen closets. Wish I'd done that earlier. I found a really long pillowcase I might have used instead of the one I made for DH's oversized pillow. How many things do we buy or make because we don't know what we already have?

yay d Nancy - that is something you should count!!! great work

yay d harmony - yay on the donation work!!! yay on pillow cases!!!

. How many things do we buy or make because we don't know what we already have?

for me: it was all the time - dh is particularly a culprit regarding this.
I will say as soon as I realize I have two or three or twenty-five ( ) - I donate it or toss. I am so tired of having too much. My brain is simple and I am embracing that part of me 8-)
it is always a joy to be here with you!
