working on this:

working on the containment theory by Dawn White and Minimal mom: what can you handle - if you have too many things to do or have too much stuff that you can't keep up with.

yesterday I dropped off a Ina Garten book that was new that I never used at the book drop off. Her recipes tend to repeat themselves but use different veg or something.

I have to let go of things that I rebought but have no one to do things with: uno game, chess set, cards, games in general. it makes me sad but I can see it will never be used.

the games are at the front door. It ached to let it go but I asked dh if he ever wanted to play a game with me - it's not his thing.

I am letting go of my bike - my dh won't be thrilled but he hasn't ridden a bike in 10 years+ and I really don't like bike riding. I love hiking (lol when my ankle is back to normal). I think after this severe ankle break that it's time to let go. He can keep his but It's time to bless someone else with mine.

I did a put away from 3 season room. games are gone. (I have to remember that I have to stay where I am now).

I went through the boxes that were dd Youngers that were under the stair - got rid of 2 white bags of junk -
tossed 2 bags of garbage from basement.
I really want dd older to go through her stuff but if she is not wanting to do it yet.
I don't mind things being in her spot in the crawl space but in a pile in the basement.
a bag of books are going
a bag of misc. are going
a frame thing Large from pottery barn kids is going too.
got rid of dd Youngers rocks - she hasn't been home in a year and a half and she hasn't seen them for at least 10 years.

I have been adding finish things as decluttering (in my head) as it limits the pressure I put on myself. finish the decluttering process

things remaining to be finished for put away after decluttering:

I had taken the remaining books of dd Youngers and put it downstairs but now they need to be put in a box (see through for me) and put in her space under the stairs (closet)

other things that need finishing: take dd Youngers cameras and equipment and put in box - put away - right now they are 4 shelves in the upstairs hall closet.
