April 2022, Decluttering by Design

Postby Harriet » Sat Apr 02, 2022 12:02 am

It's the quarter-point of the year!

One-fourth of 2022 is past. What is your verdict on last quarter? '

Are you where you hoped to be? Would you like to brag a little, because we are all ears! :D

What is the plan for the coming month? What are the tools you'll need?

Here are a few ideas we've shared here - what are yours?

 Do you need to start over with a clipboard?
 Go around and make a to-do card for individual box/pile/stash/stacks?
 Delegate to family members?
 Plan a marathon session?
 Start recording pounds or square feet redeemed?
 Move your decluttering time up to earlier morning?

Some success I delivered donations to the library of books and magazines yesterday.
Forgot some rounded up a few more to go in the next batch.

I took books in several times that week I posted last.

This week I have been decluttering the washer drain hose coming out has spurred me on and I am rethinking some things that
had been stored in the basement. Reconsidering what goes back into those rooms and how they are stored.
Boxes of papers going in a desk in the other room.
I have a few items outside to donate others have been bagged up and hauled out to the trash can.
One area rug is not fitting where I hoped it would go so rethinking that.

{Kids are busy and no help so I have been trying to take is slow and do rounds and rest often.}
My new mantra is oh that must have went one of those times I had to muck out after a clean up from the washer.
Still stiff and sore the stairs and needed more hydration.
Ne washer cannot give me a water stream or spin out the odd water I no longer need so had to haul out that but it was not much.
The fan came in handy.

I have old towels in a dresser upstairs also one down stairs now too for future use.

Items in the to donate area can be brought up in mornings as I go down to fetch them three trips a day is what I do most days.

Yes do think about that hydration as you are getting more work done in warmer temp Nancy. I definitely need y think about that.

Very happy that the outdoor storage chest dstepson left here has been great for storing bags of soil amendments, covers for spigots we won't need until winter, small tools. It gives me a potting surface, too.
