Thanks Indiana and Nancy

tdy bg/bs was 3.3 eating now. Thyroid meds comming 2nd tdy. Bfst first.
things I learned lately is that sugar & thyroid levels are both effected by adrenal glands. Also mental health issues.
And there other complicated factors at work there. Probably the reason why my fasting levels have changed so radically.
Still diet is whats controllable.

I add cashews to my cereal. I think I need more protien to chase that. a dreaded egg perhaps.
I need to look at grains I use as I know rice is high GI and in most Gluten free flour mixes. Maybe I need mix my own. And cooking Buckwheat cereal daily.

Last night I tried 10 almonds at bedtime b/f cleaning teeth... and reacted to those - sore gums, woke up hyperactive thru night. Not impossible to get back to sleep though. They are hi salicylates so now definately "off".
egg is cooking. now eaten.

I'll try my gpdoc , then see. might see a dietician. or a different doc .

I'll try the many small meals route. Might grab my Low GI books too to see whats better. Difficult - I read in there GF wasn't good for low GI.
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

All very technical information here.

In my world, nobody would have a low B Sugar if they ate like I did this weekend. Sheesh! I need to get back to my diet.

I have determined that my cast must have only weighed about half a pound.

This week I've found a home for my low carb cookbooks
a gal's dad moved into one of their guest cabins and is
a diabetic that dd knows and was excited to get those for her.
I'm also getting the Mag. Diabetic Living now too got my first issue
and it's got really yummy looking recipes in it.

Got more input on PBS yesterday with a better approach with using
lean meats instead of the vegan approach more realistic for our live for now any way.
I need to get some Omega 3 fish oil for hubby to take and see if that helps him any.
He used to take it and some how I forgot to get more when he ran out.

I'm back from my walk today I braved the wind and walked the hill
once I got down over the top it was a lot less breezy!

dgd & I went for a walk today she enjoys these as much as I do!
She reaches up for a snack from time to time!
It's so cute when she picks through the baggie to get what she wants
and puts back the one she doesn't like.

I had bounced back up a bit from my new low and slowly worked my way back down to that low number. When that happens I usually think it is fluid. Anyway, it's my pattern, I'll bounce a little low and go up and down a few days then settle at the low number for another few days and then go down a bit more. I am losing at a little less than 1 lb./week, which is ok because I'm not starving, and actually not exercising much yet.

Yesterday I did take a walk down the block and back. I have to hold my arm steady at my waist so my hand doesn't swell.

Nancy, I think we need a little more protein than we get with just veggies. I find my weight moves a little down when I allow a bit more fat and protein in my diet.

Yesterday I found 3 more blouses in my closet that fit. No more gapping at the buttons! Course, I couldn't get them rebuttoned onto the hangers with one hand, that'll have to wait.

Editing since noone else has posted: This morning (Monday) I appear to be down another couple pounds overall. Sunday afternoon I tried on another batch of clothes. Either I must do a lot of altering (hard) or let some things go. Some dresses have been hanging so long their styles look out dated now that they fit again. Decisions, decisions.

Oh carp I got on the scales and was up four pounds today!
This is not good! Plus I've been exercising and finally got it up to 45 min. a day now also.
This is so disappointing I woke up hubby in tears today about it.
I'm up four pounds plus the 5 I never got off from the holidays is nearly 10 that I have to
to work off this summer ~sigh~ sniff sniff! I am so discouraged now!

(Nancy) I understand that frustration.

I had heard that people on diabetic medications gain weight just because of their meds. Do you know if this is true?

No that is not true;
in my case [I think] it's from cravings hormonal issues.
Plus if you don't put it in your mouth you don't gain ~
something I need to remind myself.
