I got my 15 minutes in yesterday, so Day 2 can be checked off.
It was a very light 15 minutes, but at least I was moving.
Tomorrow is another day.

wtg Lucy.

Finally got to yoga today. I've stopped hanging on so long with some poses.
Long walk around the block plus along the creek. nice.
Washed dog wanted to go faster than normal so found I was similar time to shorter walk yesterday. I just go the speed that I can at the time.
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

HEY! I just peeked into this H&F forum and decided I've been missing a lot of inspiring fun and wise informtaion by not coming here.

Thanks Harriet for sharing the great information. I'll put those on my buy list for next time I'm in town. I'm dealing with the pain but would much rather not have it. :)

15 minutes of daily exercise sounds like a challenging but obtainable goal. I have kick-started previous exercise programs by following the daily outline in a book called 90 days to fitness (or something like that). It started very slowly and built up to a decent exercise program. I'm going to join in this 15 minute a day exercise while I see if I can find that book (LO has rearraigned the books in the bottom four shelves MANY times until they are a jumbled mess).

Hope is a wonderful drug. I have hope from reading your post here. :)

Yep, you'd think that would be doable. * sigh * Apparently not, in my case. Skipped last night too. I should be able to do better though, during my school break!

Yesterday chasing after grand kids was my ex.
today no wind so we will be able to get out and pick up the
yard after the windstorm that we had here yesterday.

LucyLee - seems like a great idea to establish a new habit during spring break when you have more time to work out the kinks.

I completed day #1 and will be walking outside for Day #2 just as soon as LO falls asleep (DH will stay in the house with him while I'm walking).

Last evening I laid on the couch in so much pain that it renewed my determination to carefully watch what & how much I eat. Today i have eaten Raisin Bran (dry) for breakfast and rice/chicken/veggies for lunch. I kept both meals around 1 cup of food. No pain so far. YEAH! I have another week of this before returning to the doctor for evaluation and determining the next step.

I don't think I have appreciated having good health and have taken it for granted. Being able to run, skip, hop, stretch, squat, twist, etc are blessings that I have not appreciated enough!

30 minutes vacuuming. That has to count for something. I'm sweating. Day 3. Done.
Tomorrow is another day.

OKay, I can no longer do much running, skipping, hopping, stretching, squatting, or twisting. I am trying to get back some of that ability. I didn't appreciate it either when I could do it.

I am counting all this garden work as my exercise. I think I might have missed one day when I was too sore to do much.

Thinking about the active lives pioneer women had. They never had to struggle just to get 15 min. of exercise in!

I'm counting yard work as my exercise today.
Got the branches loaded up that wind blew out of the tree this week before lunch.
This evening before dinner loaded up some stuff I pruned before,
and walked around the block and with h. on a mc ride when we stopped at a view point.
