H. is on a diet to get bp down and drop wt. so no coffee, dairy, and lean meat only once a day.
cut back on sodium, no eggs, no skin on chicken. More fruit & veggies. H. seems to be doing okay with it. This is a heart healthy one.

I mowed the lawn for my exercise yesterday.
Gardened on Thurs.
Walked one day 45 min. to the store & back.

Dgson had h. pushing him on the swing at the park today;
he had a couple of friends there too and soon h. was pushing all the kids on the swings!
Then later ...
Today I walked w/ dgd in the stroller we both enjoyed it.
Dgkids & I picked currents, green apples, and mini cherry size plums off the purple leaf cherry
tree. It was fun!

I did a slower pace yesterday [Sat.] chatted w/ neighbors
it was warmer so I took my water bottle w/ on my walk
as I was out later in the day.
Sun. walked the hill saw a doe and two fawns in the shade under some trees what
a joyful experience!
Mon. did my regular route at a brisk pace walking earlier in the day now to beat the heat.
Hubby's bp was normal when he had it checked yea!
Supposed to be cooler here the next few days so I can walk anytime love that maybe
I can take dgkids.

(I'm not really sure how long it takes me to walk a mile, this is estimating 15 minutes per mile, but I'm not really that fast.)

Good news for your dh on bp, Nancy. Yes, today also starts our lower temps, finally, so I'm hoping everyone will start feeling a little better here. Our area had widespread health concerns because of the heat wave.

lucylee, great job on sticking with walking. You've been doing a better job of recording than I. I noticed I'd never finished last weeks's record-keeping here, so had to edit. A lot of my weekend was the "heavy cleaning" that I think is actually exercise, while staying with sick dd to watch her, staying on my feet, but I'd neglected to get it down "on paper".

2 hours per week exercise goal
wk of June 28
Tues - 30 mins of total workout
