Right now I'm using a chart on an 8.5x11 sheet sideways that is for one week, 7 days across. It's lined for breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack, but I don't use all those snack spaces, just good to have them available. Each snack area is about half as large as the meal areas.

Indiana-The`morning`drink`is`a`heated`glass`of`water,with
`1/4`tsp`epsom`salt,`1`tsp`vinegar`and`a`dash`of`apple`and`mango`100%`juice.
Perhaps`the`apple`and`mango`and`vinegar`cancel`each`other`out?
Maybe`the`epsom`salt`and`vinegar`cancel`each`other`out.
If`I`add`1/4`squeezed`lemon`I`miss`the`vinegar.
When`I`finish`this`bottle`of`a&m`juice`I`may`not`replace`it.

I`was`having`too`many`things`separated`by`an`hour`before`I`could`eat`bfst
if`I`did`all`thats`been`suggested.(3`hrs`til`bfst`wasn't`working...
particularly`if`I`worked`in`garden`for`an`hr`as`suggested)
-that`was`not`a`good`day..`My`bg`was`too`low`all`day.
I've`read`allergy`lowers`bg`levels`too`and`was`eating`too`much`salicylates.

Since`I`started`playing`with`these`changes...`trying`to`listen`to`my`body`for
sustained`energy,`eat`more`frequently,`I`am`more`bloated
(that`could`be`the`sometimes`taken`brewers`yeast)
but`all`the`scale`composition`%`figures`are`changed.
Heavier`bone,'more`muscle,`more`water,`less`fat.
I`have`no`idea`why...`hope`its`for`real.
My`digestion`has`changed`digesting`fats`better
(as``in`not`the`floaties)..
I`believe`that`is`caused`by`taking`sesame`oil.
Previously`it`only`changed`if`I`ate`pork`chops`2`days`running.
Perhaps`the`oil`is`aiding`general`digestion?`which`means`less`of`my`system
going`to`bones`/muscle`trying`get`"stuff"`there.
Just`wild`guessing`on`my`part.

Harriet..Some`food`can`be`tolerated`better`at`one`time`of`day``than`
other`times.`I`used`think`I`could`eat`yoghurt`for`a`short`while,`but`continuing`it`
caused`problems.`ATM...think`I'll`try`alternate`days.`I`had`some`on`trial`last`night
with`brewers`yeast.`Wondering`if`the`combo`will`be`ok`on`longer`term.
I`do`not`tolerate`yeast`with`cereal`grains.
Being`in`a`pawpaw`growing`state`I`love`to`eat`a`serve`fresh`with`breakfast`
if`I`can:)`I`need`avoid`skin`chemicals.

When`I`was`writing`diet`in`book`at`night`it`was`easy`for`same`old`same`old...
but`sometimes`would`remember`a`day`later`if`I`did`something`different.
trying`it`as`I`go`atm...`it`takes`pressure`off`my`bedtime`prep.
trying`to`vary`between`different`foods`some`days...Writing`it`helps`me`keep`track.
atm...I'm`just`writing`food`list`in`an`exercise`book.
`Med`time`in`margin`with`the`date.
Add`symptoms`/colour`"exception`eating"`as`needed`to`try`find`things`more`easilly.

OKay-`changing`is`a`work`in`progress.You`are`doing`great.
How`you`do`it`doesn't`have`to`be`perfect...`Just`keep`heading`in`the`right`direction

I`m`heading`otd`to`farmers`market.`Food`is`definately`fresher`there.`
It`keeps`longer`without`endlest`trips`around`the`country`to`sit`in`warehouses
all`in`the`name`of`"distribution.

I'm getting better at doing some of these calculations and had to go to 10 carbs. per unit
as I'm more active in the summer now and I still had a low yesterday. bs has been up the last two mornings hormones I think. Have NOT eaten typical bday sweets cake pie etc. so that is one a good thing about not having a bday gathering!

Did NOT eat popcorn candy or other snacks at the movie and
it did not bother me that others were having it and we were not.

You guys have been doing so great tracking all your foods. I had decided not to join in because life is just too hectic at the moment. However, I did decide to work on just one thing, to not snack (or at least not as much) in the evenings. I am usually very hungry about 8-9:00. Sometimes I will not be able to get to sleep if my tummy is empty. So...trying to see if I can get used to this one thing.

I am at the 1 year mark. I have gained a few pounds back, but still am 12-14 lbs. lighter than I was last year. Gee if I lost 12 pounds every year, by the time I was 65 I'd be 110 pounds!

Posting quickly so I won't give in to the urge to eat.

What I did NOT eat - any of the dozen or so pancakes/butter/syrup and bacon that I cooked for DGS's and DH this morning.

I stuck to my eating plan. ***PHEW****

I am thankful for this accountablity. Once I post it here I know I will have the Umph to resist

Last`night`I`was`out...
I`didn't`eat`the`choc`coated`biscuits/timtams/whatever.
I`so`wanted`to..
They`kept`calling`me`from`the`Kitchen...but`I`didn't`go`there.
Later`I`dried`up/PA`without`opening`the`food`container... :mrgreen:

I have not written much down this weekend
I'm finally able to figure carbs in my head
at least at 10 per unit.

Did not have creamer in my 2nd cup of coffee today.

Hubby treats his food log like doing log books when he was a truck driver they are pretty
complete.

Planned a bit of a splurge got a hostess cup cake
for my b-day did not have to deal with the left overs that way either and knew
what to count for carbs also.

4 mini english muffin pizzas - 2 starch, 1 vegetable, 2 protein, 1 fat
blueberries - 1 fruit

What can I say. I did get one from each exchange group but that is it. Nothing to be proud of.

I should be eating to be healthy. I have eaten to be healthy since 1999. I never started on my quest to drop pounds just to get my diabetes under control. Dropping pounds was a bonus. I fear now I have really messed up my body and mind from not eating for so long. I made sure long ago once I didn't have to eat 3 meals and 3 snacks because of my meds that I would eat only when hungry. That isn't working now. I need to find a compromise.

I go days doing well and other days - forget. Straightening this out is harder than eating healthy. Although my foods are healthy my overall eating plan for today wasn't healthy. 520 calories is not a good thing. I have messed up my body so badly that when I don't eat like this I'm not dropping pounds. My body thinks it is in starvation mode and holds on to everything.

I need to figure this out.

Any suggestions will be welcome.
