ty`Nancy.
Long`ago`I`gave`up`cops`and`murder`shows.`Recently`I've`rarely`watched`them`
-only`in`8.30pm`time`slot.
It`takes`me`at`least`30`min`for`bbr`which`includes`day`review/summary/sticker`cards.
Before`then`I`often`crochet`with`"gentle`tv.

Last`night`I`was`out...talking`to`a`friend`til`10.
Then`I`watched`a`religous/spiritual`program`featuring`teaching`philosophy`in`schools.
and`neatened`ends`in`the`last`row`of`crochet`rug.(5th`of`9`rows)`I`may`have`just`sat
some`more...Oh`yes`a`program`on`opera.
this`as`wind`down
as`in`the`past`home`and`straight`to`bed`doesn't`work/hasn't`in`the`past..
I`Did`Not`turn`on`puta. :D
then`s2pjs`inc`wash`hair`as`scalp`was`suddenly`very`irritated.
Suddenly`it`was`after`midnight.
Good`quality`sleep`though.
Resetting`bodyclock`with`morning`sun`each`day`about`7.30am.
Avoid`bright`lights`at`night`as`they`reset`bodyclock.
Just begin.

Lynlee, I haven't posted with you all here before. What is BBR? before bed routine?

I started having a problem sleeping at night that I thought had to do with napping. During Oct I have been resisting naps whenever the urge hits, with quick 2-minute exercise bursts instead. Hoe downs are recommended for this and that's what I do, wherever I'm standing (free instructions here) but any quick activity break would do it. Some people go into restrooms and do these while at work to ward off the sleepies/doldrums.

I haven't had to nap and have increased my sleep time at night so that I feel more rested and don't feel I'm wasting evening hours lying awake staring into the dark! Of these 5 nights, I've had two at 7.5 and one at 8, with the other two about 7.

Btw, I have a much better night's sleep if the last 2.5 hours before bedtime are food-free!

thanks`for`the`info`Harriet.`Yes`BBR=before`bed`routine
These`days`I'm`quickly`asleep`once`I`climb`into`bed.
I`count`it`as`resting/part`way`to`sleeping`if`I`can`be`comfortably`relaxed,so`thats`no`worry
even`if`I`don't`drop`off`quickly.`I'`only`get`up`if`...after`an`hr`I`can't`be`still`physically,
or`feel`agitated...Its`been`months`since`that`happened.

My`thing`is`to`get`into`bed`earlier..`Evening`social`gatherings`are`part`of`my`delay.
Lately`I've`been`waking`at`5am..often`need`rearrange`covers...maybe`loo
then`if`I`can`I`let`myself`go`back`to`sleep.`I'm`fortunate`that`my`MR/schedule/appointments
allow`me`to`rise`when`it`suits`me`(mostly).

Puta`off`time`is`aiming`for`8.30pm.`Not`watching`"stimulating/must`see`the`end`tv.
beyond`9...ok`sometimes`don't`do`this.
It`is`necessary`if`I've`been`out`to`unwind`before`I`try`going`to`bed.

I`mostly`don't`drink/snack`late...beyond`water.`
I've`taken`to`a`drink`of`?milk`with`carob`mostly`straight`after`evening`meal.
Last`night`I`just`sat....a`long`while`before`bed...`so`it`was`after`12`by`the`time`lights`were`off.
tv`was`even`off`before`10...I`did`do`my`readings`late/before`bed`though.
ok...Need`go`do`todays`now...usually`do`them`before`breakfast.
today`I`did`lol`X`3`instead.

If`I`keep`the`average`bedtime`getting`earlier...hope`to`win`this`battle.
Waking`times???`we'll`see.
Napping...I`only`do`if`I'm`literally`falling`asleep...not`just`because`I'm`tired.
Though`Sleepwarrior`suggested`they`were`helpful...particularly`for`the`sleep`deprived.

If`I`could`be`rid`of`constant`headache`...that`will`help`too...Will`try`anthistemine
as`it`is`often`food`related.`Neck`is`way`out`as`well.
I'm`unable`to`use`a`pillow`atm.
Just begin.

I put daily pm routine on my weekly list
and it's been making a difference.
I got the coffee pot ready to go for the morning last night
rinsed the dishes and they are ready to load today.
I've been working on the counters in the am and pm and it's starting to show yea!!!

I turned off the TV and did my weekly reading!
Had a lovely time and
slept pretty well.
