¼ cantaloupe ….................................75
smoothie peach, blueberries, banana …....100
¾ cup lima beans …...........................100
Subway 6" tuna/swiss flatbread, veggies …550
1 cup almond milk …............................60
Medium sweet potato …......................100
1 tsp benecal margarine …....................25
fudgsicle ........................................90

1,100 calories
6 veggies and fruits at least
slight gluten in flatbread

A lot better day to compare with yesterday - homemade breakfast saved 100 calories off the bat. I got in my secret weapon of sweet potato and OKay's secret weapon of beans to feel full and happy and each of those mini-meals probably saved me another 100. Asked for plenty of veggies on the sandwich: green peppers, lettuce and cucumber. I have had the flatbread at Subway before without a problem so I am okay with that imperfect choice.

I was thinking that my sodium might be high for the day, so chose sweet potato over soup, for way less sodium.

Saturday I started with a good breakfast of 1/2 an english muffin, an orange and milk. Lunch was soup, crackers and an apple. Dinner was ham, green beans, potatoes, a pear cheddar cheese salad and milk. My evening snack was hot milk, cookies and peaches. Snacks were cherry tomatoes and grapes.

Summary (goal) actual
starch (8) 3
protein (7) 4
fat (4) 1
dairy (3) 3
fruit (5) 5
veg (5) 5

Overall not bad. Low in starch and fat is fine, I need to watch the protein and the rest were good.

Sunday I started with a good breakfast of oatmeal with raisins. Lunch was soup, crackers and grapes. Dinner was beef roast, rice and roasted carrots with italian orange salad and milk. My evening snack was hot milk, cookies and pears with cheddar cheese.

Summary (goal) actual
starch (8) 4
protein (7) 5
fat (4) 2
dairy (3) 2
fruit (5) 4
veg (5) 4

Once again overall not bad. Low in starch and fat is fine, The rest were good.

Monday I was exactly the same as Saturday. I started with a good breakfast of 1/2 an english muffin, an orange and milk.

Tuesday I was exactly the same as Sunday. I started with a good breakfast of 1/2 an english muffin, an orange and milk. Lunch was soup, crackers and an apple. Dinner was ham, green beans, potatoes, a pear cheddar cheese salad and milk. My evening snack was hot milk, cookies and peaches. Snacks were cherry tomatoes and grapes.

Summary (goal) actual
starch (8) 3
protein (7) 4
fat (4) 1
dairy (3) 3

veg (5) 5

Overall not bad. Low in starch and fat is fine, I need to watch the protein and the rest were good.

Indiana, your veggie/fruit intake has been super, hasn't it? That has got to make your tummy happy. I am just shaking my head to see how easily your system allows you to enjoy combinations that I couldn't. You are able to include fruits in varied meals, while I need to be cautious. You're eating interestingly!

OKay you are being very strict with yourself as far as calories. Possibly that's exactly what you planned to do, but balance the very low days with some higher ones - you are chasing a toddler! ;) (whoosh, there he went!)

Lynlee, is the goat milk from your everyday store's dairy dept., canned, or do you make a special trip somewhere for that? I know that we have had canned goat milk in our groceries here for some years, because my ddad would purchase it for infant puppies whose mother couldn't offer milk for some reason. But if I wanted fresh, even now I believe I would have to go to a health food store.

Of the two days I posted here, my scale responded:
Tuesday morning up .5 pounds
Wednesday morning down 1.5 pounds
for a loss of 1 on a 1,370 cal average
so Monday was acceptable, but sodium and empty calories added to my water weight collection :|
Tuesday let (probable multiple-day) water weight leave my system, and may have even given me a small true loss
It's fun to experiment!

Between meal snacking:
I'm not making this a habit,
but trying to learn how to cope still,
so had a shot for the carbs. I was consuming
and had pop corn 1/2 c. serving [apx.] with dear grand kids.
Blood sugar was in my target range at the next reading. Yea!

Thought`of`doing`all`the`sums`again`/tweeking`cereal`amounts`and`gave`up.

WTG`Indiana.`Are`their`any`good`oil/fats`that`would`suit`you`to`add?
Somehow`the`sesame`oil,`and/or`chia`seeds``with`breakast`cereal

Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.
