Thanks LynnL.

Back from today's walk it was a bit winder than I like glad that's done.
Too windy to grill so I cooked salmon on the stove indoors.

Back from my walk boy is it ever blustery outside today the walls are creaking from the gusts. They got this forecast correct. I saw snow squalls in the mountains to the south east of us and fresh snow on the mountains. Plus I saw a baby calf on my walk that I had not seen before so that was fun!

Let's see, both Sat and Sun were long hiking days. Last week I had at least stretched each day and some days got in 15 mins video exercise.

I am surprised to be gaining weight again. I need to reel it in. Tried the "full bars" that are supposed to fill you up in a healthy way so you don't eat other things. I think I did it wrong this first day, absentmindedly "adding" them rather than "substituting" them, but I'll give them another chance when I get back to a store and buy a few more. They are filling and taste okay. Even though they are puffed wheat, they didn't make me feel bad in any way so the gluten must be low. They've been around a few years, nothing new. They are criticized for their price, since they are very simple.

I've read that if you are feeling sleepy exercising will wake you up. Ddog woke us twice the other night so yesterday, despite the couch calling my name ;) , I took a walk.

It worked.

I felt refreshed, awake, & it lasted until bedtime.

Way to go Dove!
I needed to do that yesterday instead of knitting.

Today I took a brisk walk this morning and this afternoon I mowed.
So now I can check exercise off my list.

Interested today to hear on Dr. Oz from Jorge Cruise, the expert of "Belly Fat" fame, recommending that, if weight loss is the reason for exercise, the best time is before breakfast. I definitely fell within the first group they considered, those who carry extra weight at the midsection. The exercise given was a version of the "plank" with a pillow on a chair so the forearm could rest on it as you held the "plank" turned to the side. They really had to rush through it, though, to get to all 3 groups (midsection, hips, allover). They recommended eggs for breakfast for me, but also recommended never missing at least 25 grams of fiber, which I find difficult without some fruit, and fruit can't come after other foods for me. I get about 5 grams of fiber from my fruit breakfasts. Today the program resonated with me, though, and I had a bell-pepper/onion omelet for lunch. Supper was fish, slaw, broccoli/cauliflower, and, of course, chocolate. ;)

  I've been eating all the wrong things. Need to get back on track for me.

Harriet - can you eat fruit 1/2 - 1hr before the protien?
My low hypoglycemia bk suggests that an hr ahead of meals.
atm I'm going for fruit before cereal - but not far ahead.
allso exrcise before breaky
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.
