Health and Fitness, November 2018

Postby Harriet » Thu Nov 01, 2018 12:49 pm

Let's do something healthy with November! There's a 30-day clean slate awaiting us! For some of us it's the month that leads up to the season of more social engagements, more visitors and more acquaintance-renewal than any other time of year! For others, it's going to be a month of recuperation back to strength, so we're making plans to feel a lot better by it's end! No matter what, we can see a positive change a month from now with a little Habit Forming!

 Can you "put your finger on" the change/trend you'd enjoy seeing over the month? What is it?

 What is the habit(s) that, in 30 straight days (or 15 "every-other-days"), could offer you that change?

If you'd like to, commit with us to the new habit(s) you choose for November and we'll cheer each other on for 30 days!

On November 2, 2017, I challenged myself to run first thing every morning for at least two miles. I have run every day since accepting that challenge. It is definitely a habit now and has led to other healthy changes.
Challenge yourself!! See where it leads you!! I'm so happy I did so a year ago. :)

Yea celebrating with you all!

I walked with the dog on a diff. Way down a bit and out of the windy 30 mph. And 68* also did 30 on the stat bike. Raked leaves in the back yard as well.

Challenge or not I am trying to loose 15-20 lbs by mid Jan. Thats 2lbs a week and doable. Dr and discuses my hernia and I refuse to have surgery .. statically it’s not very successful so I opted for a more natural way to try and treat if possible.

Removing the fat around my stomach MAY make a difference so I’m going that route. I’m already down 4lbs from last Wednesday so it’s a start. Can’t really work out because exercising make my stomach hurt, so does drinking a lot of water at once so...

I’ll use my gazelle and just walking to see what I can make happen. I making a goal of 10k steps a day. I’ll see if I can make it happen... everything depends on how my stomach reacts to this.

I started walking yesterday and got in more than 10k steps.

I’m already up to 7500 today with plenty of time to get to my goal.

I joined another diet bet this morning and must loose 6 lbs by Dec 7th. Might as well make some money to help me stay motivated.

Nancy, you are always active and get your exercise in consistently. :)

Cheering you on, RR. You have lost the weight before and know what it takes to be successful. Your exercise sounds great too. I love your weight loss bets. Those sound really fun!
