I'm getting back to walking in the afternoon. I think I'm at day 5, if I'm not pedantic about how far I go.
I'm not always walking the 3k block. Today I went a different way to post a letter, and added in another stretch of road. It was probably about 40 mins.
Just begin.

Weight dropped a bit this a.m., below a number with a zero on the end of it. As Kathryn has mentioned from time to time, it put my BMI into the "overweight" category, not obese, if we're just looking at the number. It's nice to see a little drop, I think the last time I saw this number may have been an aberration on the old scale back in October.

Guess I just have to be happy with any day that I can exercise at all and not think about stringing days in a row for now. I was able to do 30 minutes exercise today without any problems. Feeling better.

There is a thought that the old 'sailors diet' from the time of Cook's voyagers is beneficial for gut health, and a protector of mental as well as physical health.

I'm not a cabbage person in recent decades, but it might be interesting to give sauerkraut 'a go'.
If I get sores on my tongue I'll desist. (a reaction I can get from cabbage.)

sauerkraut - it turned out the young man brought 4 quarts from his father, not just 1. quite a nice homegrown gift. Dstepson took one and ds took one for the firehouse. I'm sure I'll end up able to enjoy the rest over time, and HRH might try some, though not his favorite.

Happy for Twins' and her legit scale report! Especially since it backed over a zero.

Dee, you know, you did do 15 minutes a day over a period of two days! :)

I'm keeping up with my 20 to 25 of variety workouts in the evenings so far. Mostly alternating zumba/aerobic and T-Tapp. I know the time will come when I'll miss and that's fine. There are many ways to schedule it. Got another completed check-off chart yesterday and today, but again, I know I'll miss more soon like I did Thursday. It's not a sprint but a journey.

I think I need another record, though, of :
"Things I ate that I had no business eating, that didn't help at all"

I have a tendency to forget those.

After two days down the scale hopped back up a bit yesterday, I am sure that my eating yesterday had an impact. I had lunch with dmom, where there were beef tips, white rice, green beans and a nice roll, and chocolate cake for dessert. I ate most the rice, all the roll and half of the cake. Last night after our plans to have guests was cancelled, we were invited for spaghetti at friends home - she made some kind of veggie sub for pasta (not spiralized veggies but something I didn't even recognize.) I should have suggested I bring some black bean pasta but hated to impose my way of eating. Dh also (not) helpfully went out and bought ten cake balls for dessert....they were yummy but rich. I probably ate 1.5?

I think I remember Harriet saying that white flour and sugar made her weight jump?
