Our elliptical sits unused for a couple years now. DH says we can give it away. I never could get more than 5 minutes at a time on that thing even at the lowest resistance. We use our bikes more than any piece of equipment we ever had. I had a different kind of stepper for a while. That got donated too.
I have a 'stair stepper' that's placed in a corner and unused for the last year & a half or so. I was told unequivocally not to use it because of my heart condition. So there it sits. Guess I need to ask dh if he's going to use it. If not perhaps we'll put it with the yard sale stuff at his db's.

I'm doing and try and see of doing a 'diet' of so many helpings per day. Guess that's what I'll call it. I'm aiming for 7 right now and they may be a bit light. That's figuring a bowl of cereal and creamer for my coffee for breakfast as "2". I'm sure I'll have to tweak it a bit. But I do find it's helping me to curb snacking, And I'm losing. But, I'm also exercising quite a bit more. Between the 2 I can hope. I absolutely need to get this weight down for both my BP and my heart. I like what you've done, Harmony. Right now as of this morning I was at 164. I was 168 when I was in the hospital Nov. 21st. I'll look back at this next month and see if that number is going down. Giving this a one-month trial. (To 2/1/21)

I have no idea how I'm doing it but I have had over 10,000 steps every day for the last 9 days except 1 & that was 9,000. Most days have been over 14,000-16,000. It's becoming a "Habit" and one that I like. Figure I'm done for today and feeling good at 17,833. Who knew I could do this? I realize it's not 'real' walking but every round on the bike counts as a step or is it 2? Either way I'm happy with the results and it's helping me stay on track. I'll be sure to post my weight (gain or lose) at the end of the month. Good motivation.

Still managing to do over the 10,000 steps of late. Though yesterday I really didn't feel all that 'well'. I need to get going on today's if I ever expect to get near that. I'm dragging today so we'll see.

I am tracking my food, calories, steps and water.

I haven’t had any sugar, real or artificial in 4 days. The only sugar my body has had has been in my apples and oranges. Like to see how long I can go. I’m attacking the sugar as a sugar addition because I know once I eat any I want more.

Eating very clean..protein, veggies, wasa crackers, and a small selection of fruits. Only eating the fruit that is found in each season so no berries yet.

I’m also making sure I take all my vitamins as well, and working on 80-100 ozs of daily water.

Even though I had a migraine yesterday, I stayed on my eating plan and got my water in. No steps of course.

That is so true, RR. If I eat even a piece of sugar my body craves more and then I'm off! I have managed to lose 3# so far this month. I know I'm losing at a good rate. For the most part I'm staying 'on plan'. Oops! Make that 4#. I'm really happy with that. After yesterday I probably should have gained -as RR said: :| I figured I had really sabotaged myself yesterday, but evidently I had enough 'good' days built up. Once I started snacking, oh my! Too overboard. At least my BSugar was only 80 this morning. So did okay there.
