Daily Food Diary - Rest of April

Postby Emptynester » Mon Apr 20, 2009 11:38 am

Hi All.

Lady M and I are challenging each other to stay on track with posting our Food Diary and other parts of our new stay healthy lifestyle. This includes under 1600 calories and exercise daily.

Come along with us and we can all inspire each other.

Excellent MT and LadyM! I've really fallen off the wagon in this area. I really need accountability. . . I roughly do WW points. SO, this will be for Monday, April 20.

Bfast: (4 pts.)
-2 cups of tea w/ milk and a tiny bit of sugar
-bowl of all bran cereal

Okay, I have a complaint!!!

Gee whiz, I assume nothing has changed in here because my little icon outside doesn't change color, and then I pop in and get blown away by CHANGE !

I'm going to peruse here for a while! Mucho stuff happenin'. Need to remember you guys could be in here doing who-knows-what whether icon knows or not. Sneaky, sneaky.

I'm not really trying to diary, but I am making strides toward knowing how many calories/how healthy/how much sodium, etc, our meals are. As I'd mentioned before, I'm continuing my card-file made out of the 3x5 cut-out nutrition info from cardboard packaging of items we use often (reverse side for name for filing purposes). At a glance, questions like "what if I add that rice he likes?", or "how much sodium did that convenience lunch have?", can be answered.

I almost never have a sugared drink any more. I do have prepared shakes but much more rarely. Still loving my 7-layer salads (plus a little chopped egg) - had one this a.m. Cutting berries into oatmeal saves me from other sweetening and such a treat. Also researched even fast food options for when I'm pressed into decisions there. The words, "hold the mayo" reduce the fat and calories of some options into an acceptable range so that I do feel I can order like friends/family without failure.

As of the 29th, 1.5 pounds misplaced for April. Don't think I'm going to get that extra .5 to let go (shake, shake) in 2 days, but maybe it won't be too far in to May when it does. 2.5 pounds on my agenda.
If you don't believe in miracles, you're not being realistic.

Lady M and I are just modifying our post rather than posting a new one. Doesn't take up as much room and shows everything in the same place.

Therefore - the little icon doesn't change color. Yeah, we could be up to something - but we wouldn't do that to your forum.

Limited to no internet connection
I can't get to my on-line menu planner so don't know menus/calories.
I have new system coming Monday or Tuesday so I will catch up then.
Thanks and hugs
