Yesterday I mowed the W and N sections near my house, and an odd bit just beyond the house to mean the N side of a 'garden bed' and tree are done when its time to do the east. There will be less fussing then.
I think there will be less residual muscle aches doing the smaller sections, which was always my aim.

I was outside yesterday more snow clearing happened. I rounded up garden tools put in the potting shed, set up a spot for a workmspace and to put containers. Getting ready for gardening season prep. Mostly now. Plus I ut a bucket under the leaky spot in the eves in front of the house worked great.

Wagon is in the caged garden area now and the wheeled bucket, I moved the wheel burrow also.
Got a trail shoveled around the potting shed and caged garden area.
Love that snow is melting it is great to get some freash air and out of the house helped with cabin fever!!!

Last week I mowed the south side of the house late in the day before the mower clogged with cut grass.
I leave it on mulching.

Today I mowed the west and north side of the house much earlier in the day. The shaded grass was still wet underneath. set up, mowing and clean up took an hour.

I am definitely not as fit as I used to be, or maybe the showers we have had in recent months have brought on the huge difference in effort needed.

I planted iris bulbs young ones to bloom in the future that some one disgarded & I found on my walk.
I am rounding up containers for tomatoes I grew from seed that need transplanted.
It is too cold so transplanting will wait.

I emptied two wagons, and wheel burrow, and dug in the stones on the path that needed a bit of shovel work. I took containers I rounded up out to the plant cage and potting shed. I swept seeds off the driveway this afternoon.

I was really pleased the other day to find two small tomatoes already formed on one of my plants. Then dfriend M said she had "dozens" of little tomatoes, not ripe for formed. She put hers in the ground about two weeks before I did. My basil looks great also. That's the extend of my edible garden this year.

I weeded and had to empty one wagon and wheel burriw again this week. My half hour of progress in the garden is helping, not perfect but definate progress of reclaiming our yard after having the hens here. Had the first onions from our yard with squash this weekend.

pulled weeds along the edge of the house/veranda, where the mower misses some horrid stuff.
long side of laundry plus 1/4 along the veranda.
If I'd been good I would have dead headed the seedy things an age ago.
Then spent an age plucking velcro seeds off my gloves and clothes.
